This. I think/hope it is one of those delayed things. Where it will happen, just not for a couple of days and because Will is a star, he will be able to turn himself in, sign some autographs and head back out. Court will be on zoom and he will have to pay some fine and do charitable work. Which he will use to his advantage and to further his public image in a positive light.
as Kathy Griffin said it..."this is dangerous because every comedian would worry someone would just walk up on stage to slap them from now on"...

Aloplecia isn't life threatening, it isn't even painful. I was a big shiny chrome dome at 30.

It hasn't hurt Corey Stoll's career, he got to play young Corrado "Junior" Soprano.

It doesn’t have to be life threatening. It’s still a medical condition she has no control over.

You people that think Will Smith should be in jail will be disappointed...

I think this was settled even before the Oscar was over...they have a lot of mutual friends...Adam Sandler, Wayans Brothers, Shaq and Denzel...

But Oscars actions after that slap...would be their downfall...who else would host that since Ricky and Chris Rock are done...Jim Carrey won't do it...they're stuck with Amy Schumer...lol.

LOL

It's sad. The man is a talented entertainer. I grew up watching him and even listening to his early rap songs from the 80s. His wife was a pretty thing many moons ago but never had talent or brains, and her public record shows that she belongs to the streets.

It's as though Will suffers from some type of battered wife syndrome. The money, fame, and power cannot overcome the simp from within. He's driven by emotions and feelings, so he's completely lost.
This is what I was thinking as well. He has destroyed her and continues to destroy her and is possessive especially with her feelings as was evident from their exchange at the show and how her face scrunched up when they made eye contact. He has changed in the past after his fresh prince stuff. I also grew up watching that show and this is why his change and personality is so evident to the ones who daily watched and listened to his material.

Maybe Will got triggered because he knows he is the source of this wife’s stress.

Someone tell him that this is NOT what love is. He needs to free her from his mind and his thoughts if he wants to change which we see no signs of this happening.

The fact that Chris Rock didn’t file charges will even further paint Will as a monster that he has become and will further contribute towards his spiral towards madness. There is still a chance to get out but I doubt he will understand that this is him and NOT them or her or Chris. Jada will always love pac like she never will Will.

I saw that. It was quoted by Pandora Box. A comedy drag queen I follow. It is actually how I found out about it this morning. I don’t watch the Oscars.

This is stupid. Cops have arrested plenty of people without a report filed. There doesn’t need to be one filed. It was televised for the world to see. This is typical Hollywood privilege.

Guys....just stop with the "if it was real" and "staged" shit.

Was it shocking? Yes. Does this happen often? No, but it's not hard at all to tell it was an actual situation that caught many people off guard.

People need to stopped coming up with dumb conspiracy theories every time something shocking or uncommon happens.

It was real, get over it...

Chris Rock isn't that upset about it...he took a slap, wasn't hurt, and has moved on.

I think that was a fake....
Totally agree.

not only has the Oscar’s been struggling with ratings for the past years because people don’t care for the rich and the famous patting themselves on their back.

not even one security guard or person in production tried to do anything. in the past there have been people who have protested or went off script and you see security tackle them or the person gets rushed off stage. Here nothing like that happened. Then he coincidentally wins an Oscar so that he can give a tearful speech. bleh…

I bet the Oscar’s has both Chris rock and will smith host next year

That is great for Chris. I didn’t think he would be running to the cop shop. That isn’t him. But the LAPD don’t need Chris. And neither does the Academy in order to do the right thing. This shows a horrible example of privilege in wealth. Will assaulted someone and should pay the same price as everyone else would if they hit someone.

They are doing the right thing, they are letting it go...if Chris Rock doesn't cooperate with the LAPD but cooperates with the defence good luck with that conviction.
