Your place!!
Have read some of the things that are done to keep trudeau in power and not against all of them, but now trudeau gets to do whatever he wants even tho he has a minority. The checks and balance has gone with ndp agreeing to support ALL things.

I wonder what taxes are they going to raise to pay for this. The department of Finance put out some numbers a while back which still apply if you adjust for economic growth. Even ignoring how raise some tax rates drasticlly would decrease the amount every percentage increase would raise, the idea that you can raise the money for more military, pharma, dental and who knows what else by just "taking the rich" is delusional. I wonder if Singh has been made aware of this and is just lying his face off or if in all the years he has been the NPIC of the NDP nobody ever took him aside and laid some truth onto him.

Or maybe they will just go into debt to buy the next election. That seems to be the way Twoplanes goes. I will never forgive him for doing the whole, I'll go into deficit by 10 billion dollars because he panicked over a shock that would have worked itself out with normal stabilizers which quickly doubled with no realistic end in sight. It is not only that he two faced it, but he also broke the very worthy consensus we had before he got away with it that unless times are bad, budgets will be balanced. IIRC even the NDP were leaning that way. I'll likewise never forgive the other adults in the room for calling him on both his panic and his resulting lies.

Fuck it, I'll be dead easily within 30 years if not sooner, blast the debt sky high, I don't have kids.

What I am truly loving is the fact the Conservatives have been triggered like I have never, ever seen before! When the Conservative Party of Canada is furious, it only spells good news for Canadians.

During Question Period today, Candice Bergen blew her fucking top so hard her MAGA hat hit the ceiling in the House of Commons, and rumour has it her friend, Flu Truck Klan organiser Pat King, could even hear her from his jail cell a couple of blocks away.

No wonder, this is how democracy works in a Westminster system of government, and it's quite evident the CPC despises this country and its system (we are not American, which is pretty much what these assholes want).

There are effectively two parties at the helm now, and 51% of the electorate cast ballots for these two parties.

That's democracy.

1: I forgot, we must never ever question any policy decisions made by a non conservative party, if you do, then you are triggered and furious. I guess it is like how if you question the former cheeto in chief he is "living rent free in your head"

2: It's funny, because I am sure if parties from the right with 51% of the ballots were running things, and looking to change the electoral system to keep this is place pretty much forever then the complaints about how democracy shouldn't ignore the other 49% would be screamed high from the rooftops.

Political cultists, sigh. At least I respect Rodney Dangerfield.

The sooner we get strange women in ponds distributing swords... well it can't happen soon enough.
The longer I live and the more I hear from voters, the more the idea goes from a joke to a good idea.

You can bet a capital gain on the sale of your primary residence. They have been tracking this since 2016 I believe. The Feds love these sky high home prices. All they see is $$$$$$ for pet projects.
New taxes on Banks, Oil Companies and Big Box stores just like Singh wants.
Wouldn't surprise me if the HST goes up by 2%.
A new bullshit tax on gas powered cars no doubt to claim they are fighting a war on global warming/climate change or whatever they are calling it now.

All of these new/tax increases won't solve shit.

32% of 17,000,000 people (60% of eligible voters) voted liberal,
5.4 million people. Add the NDP numbers and you get about 8 million votes total out of a population of 38 million,.Less than a third of the population voted for the “Axis of Weasel” . That’s fucked up.

Just watch the underground economy kick in, you can only tax the so called wealthy so much before they start finding ways to avoid excess taxes and I don’t blame them. And that will be the NDP’s next demand, wealth taxes.

Wait until they start taxing the sale of your principle residence. It’s coming.

Now I know why for a few years I have been selling positions in our non registered accounts and buying them back again to crystallize capital gains. We do this until that and other taxable income would push us up to the next incremental tax bracket. Happy to pay the capital gains at a 50% inclusion rate, because I suspect it might only be a few days before the taxable rate on cap gains will be 75% or higher.

It does not work that way. In theory Trudeau will have a secret vote/discussion with the NDP and after they agree on what ever, they then bring to parliament - the extension of any parties caucus deciding what to bring to parliament (which is first discussed privately)
In practice sometimes the NDP will be ignored.

As for taxes we do need a stock market tax and even houseing taxes on same day or same week trades. Those who flip houses weekly - well they can afford a tax. The one year rule I be willing to extend to maybe 3 or even 5 years. At 10 years it hurt some innnocents but it lower the maket price of housing as houses would have to be rental investments rather than flipping investments.

Actually, the left is the side that respects democracy and accepts the results of elections.

The right instead tries to change results and their heads explode.

You conveniently skewed your numbers -- I referred to the "electorate", and of the 38 million people in Canada there are lots of people under 18 as well as immigrants who can't vote.

And even if we use the numbers you provide, the number of people who voted for the Conservative Reformist Alliance Party (CRAP) is STILL less than the number that voted Liberal.
