So you think that Putin is correct to invade Ukraine, and as a result it has been displacing millions of citizens, while killing numerous women and children all in the name of "Peace Keeping"?
Trying to understand your reasoning and logic behind his justification for such acts?
It's easy, he has to post what his FSB handler tells him post, lest he be placed on Pootin's traitorous, lying gnat extermination list.

Thats what you think. Russia considers Crimea theirs, NATO and Ukraine consider it Ukraine. Easy to see what might happen there. As it stands we may all end up dead over Ukraine.
So pick a high point in your nation's history and declare it as your birthright, same as Israel's government. Both notions apparently fully supported by the right wing establishment...

I don't think you grasp the situation. Russia will do fine, it is really the west that is worse off with Russia turning east. People like you suck up the propaganda about how poor and backwards Russia is. The West depends on Russia for a SHITLOAD of things, as a result the standard of living of the West will drop. BUT thankfully, Canada will do fine because we will get to replace many things Russia provides today. If Russia cut off the west entirely the whole semiconductor industry will have to stop production. So look out. Best to upgrade your phone now.
it will be the end of Putin and Russia as we know it. And Russia it is a corrupt backwards country that 100% relies only on its natural resources with nothing else to offer.

Nonsense.

Crimea, like the Donbas, might rebel against their idiotic Russian overlords but there was zero chance that Ukraine or NATO would 'invade' Crimea.
Zero.

Putin is now losing, Donbas is the only area where he's not effectively retreating.

Wow! So you would welcome a Putin to run Canada or the US with open arms?
No I didn't say that at all. But I do like strong leaders who put their country's interests first.

Like narco lords... I repeat leadership is easy when any opposition gets wacked.
Any opposition? Seems like there are many opponents of Putin thriving in Russia currently.

Putin has destroyed any free press in Russia; has destroyed any chance of a free, functional political opposition in Russia; has destroyed any chance of democracy in Russia in the foreseeable future; has destroyed any chance of a functioning economy in Russia which is not solely based on his oligarch buddies owning oil and infrastructure monopolies, mismanaging them and then exporting the profits in order to buy condos in Miami, and mansions and soccer teams in Britain; has murdered anyone who stood up to him on principle; has fucked over his own armed forces by gross mismanagement and corruption; has killed helpless women and children in Chechnya, Georgia and Ukraine; and has generally screwed the pooch for 23 years.

If that's your idea of "putting their country's interests first", you probably voted for Trump in 2020.... and of course you did.

You would do well to actually read / listen to those who are experts in Russia. Putin has killed - literally - any effective opposition. He gets 100% endorsement votes in the Duma. A few carefully controlled stooges are paid to masquerade in the media as "opposition" politicians on the understanding that they have to appear as clownish and incompetent as possible at all times in order to enhance Putin's status while giving the false impression to the dolts that there are actually opposition voices in Russia.

But don't these dolts in Russia have access to justice via independent courts and the independence of the judicial due process rights to seek redress of the wrongs committed by the state against them?

Are you serious???? Or, been living under a rock???
He actually has a Ukrainian friend from Donetsk, so he is more in-tune with reality. And you are under the rock brought to you by the states.
Only Canadians who know what people there actually think understand the scoop.
