Iowa Bars Transgender Girls from Female Sports

The crux of the matter is: Reynolds, a Republican, said the law is "a fairness issue” because of what she said are athletic advantages for transgender girls.
It's not just what she's saying, it's what everyone with working brain already knows. It's just not a politically correct excuse in many circles.
I'm all for the rights of trans but in this case, I think fairness trumps political correctness.
Unlike bathroom access or the ability to enlist, that affect no one else's opportunities, other athletes are being put at a disadvantage in terms of being able to succeed which may affect their scholarships or futures careers or earnings (the last one obviously doesn't apply to students) etc.
Serious question.

I'd honestly like to hear what the purpose of all these leftie posts is and why it is so important to you?
I think it's a fair question, not that I expect any kind of honest answer as to your mindset.

Considering the drugs athletes in some fields will take if they can get away with it, how much bodybuilders are dropping dead these days, I wouldn't put it beyond them.
When asked if they would be willing to take 5 or 10 years off their life to win a disturbing amount of athletes would say yes.
Never mind boxers getting punched in the head, football and hockey players getting their brains busted in and risking being physical wrecks.
Hell Ronnie Coleman also lifted himself into a wheelchair, improved and is back at it... I guess till he permanently cripples himself and I don't think he even competes himself.
I remember on a bodybuilder forum there was a guy, no where near top level who completely wrecked his body but absolutely refused to stop and would encourage others who also were no where near top level to push themselves to the limits. At least boxers and pro sport players get a good payday out of it, these are people who will never medal in anything anyone in the field gives a shit about.
So if it was a requirement, I wouldn't doubt a few people would take up the knife.
Not that this changes the fairness of men competing against women in sport, and there is a whole host of advantages in going through puberty as a male that don't go away. If this is allowed, you might as well remove all gendered sports.
Because lefties, these days in particular typically have horrible takes on political and societal issues. They love to virtue signal their moral superiority while being quite despicable themselves and completely unaware of it where as the other end of the spectrum usually know they are a*holes. I think he was more mocking them than showing concern for what they think.

I think you would find many left people are OK with such a ruling,
I think everybody should be granted a right to compete at the highest stage. If that stage is grouped based on ones initial biology I am OK with that because ones right to compete has not been taken away.
But it is amusing to see many righties talk about fairness and respect for reasons for this rule especially religious based ones. If only these individuals followed those same principles of fairness and respect in some of their other policies and views of the LGTBQ community… around work, marriage, washrooms, and many other things.
