Actually, so far the rouble depreciation was that big: from 75 RUB per USD to 105, so, about 40%. In 1998 it changed from 7 RUP per USD to 21 (i.e., 300%) in less then a month. But there is still time...

Someone is going to make money, why not one of us.
Also it isn't going to make things worse in the Ukraine.
If a Canadian buys a bond from a panicing Russian, one of Poutine's own gets screwed over when the prices go back to normal... assuming they do. Also the person who bought it from wasn't forced at gun point to sell it to you.
The saying is buy when there is blood in the streets.

I am a buy and hold guy but if I did that play [and there is some risk involved] I'd sleep easy.

Is this the reason the stock market and crypto are doing so well since the initial shock and correction. Are all these wealthy individuals pulling out of Russian investments and putting it into stable investments Just a transfer of wealth. So when this conflict is over and resolved does this mean it could crash the market again since they will be pulling out and buying these assets at discount…
