Fundamental Freedoms

Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:

  • (a) freedom of conscience and religion;
  • (b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;
  • (c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and
  • (d) freedom of association.

Its been peaceful so far
Gonna be hundreds (if not thousands) of lawsuits if police force is used

What a stupid press conference JT is holding.
Someone needs to give him a cream pie.

You mean the only place they could find to protest was in the middle of bridges connecting Canada and the US?
Okay, but then please tell us where they CAN protest.

Name the exact location

Toronto Queens Park Circle has been closed off by the cops

It was closed off to prevent what they believed was going to be an unruly attempt to shut down traffic etc. it was not shut down to prvcent protest.

How does that prevent using the park for protests? If you live in Toronto you will know that there are peaceful protests at QP almost every weekend in the summer.

They are generally free to protest anywhere but not occupy and create a siege, blockade traffic and strangle domestic and international trade and industry with terrorist tactics and keep children away from school by exercising paediatric human trafficking. The renegade terrorist truckers have set back legal right protest movements for a long time.

So you guys are saying you'd be okay with people protesting QPC by foot, just not by car??

I am all for people right to protest peacefully. Blocking roads and bridges and attempting to bring cities and cross-border traffic and commerce to a halt is not my idea of peaceful protest. Perhaps your definition of peaceful protest and mine are different.

Okay, fair point.

Lets see if cops allow protestors by foot at QPC tomorrow.
If they dont, then they're IMO in violation of Canada's charter of rights and freedoms.

Do you agree with the latter part?

its time to make the enemy uncomfortable
I agree and the twats and occupying fringe criminals are about to get very uncomfortable.

"Fines for non-compliance will be severe, with a maximum penalty of $100,000 and up to a year imprisonment. We will also provide additional authority to consider taking away the personal and commercial licences of anyone who doesn't comply with these orders."

Canadian charter of rights and freedoms:

Section 2 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees the freedom of expression, freedom of association, and the freedom of peaceful assembly. Protests are a way for people to express themselves for or against decisions made by government or other powerful institutions
Sorry Filippo they lost that right when they peed on The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. As Michael Rooker once said, "time to slice some nuts".

Ford has declared a state of Emergency, so mass congregations of people for protest would now be illegal at the Legislature.
