Gotta luv Dr Doe

She tells it like it is, without judgement, from a female perspective not from male braggadocio POV

here she talks about how to get a friend with benefits or having a sex relationship
with a friend with no commitment

I think she misses a key point

The emotions involved such as:

Rejection because of bad sex performance where a committed relationship
would work through such issues

What happens when only one party falls in love?

Only one party gets bored with other person's body and wants to stop FWB relationship?

All kinds of issues

Has anyone had one? How did it work out? I think it would have to be two special people for it to be a
successful relationship

Ive had a shitloads mate. Never been any issues at all. I still have a few, meet up for drinks then a quickie.
How do you get out? Just say you want to stop and she says "Cool"

Getting out would be an issue for me as I would only want a couple of shags then onto someone else

At least that is how I am with SWs so I presume same thing would happen with a FWB

Yes I would not try again, I wanted more than only endless sexual.
I could see it being an education on sex as all topics are open and a lot of fun and could
involve a threesome or sex club as such topics could be easily discussed without
anyone being hurt

But it has to be the right couple or it could go south pretty fast leaving everyone hurt IMHO

Excellent topic for thought and discussion on a sex board (y)

I hear you. I like variety too. Some FWBs just fizzle out. The one I’ve had for years I’d say it’s just a benefits thing, fuck biddies only. I don’t do it as often as I should.

I had one with a co-worker. It was great in the beginning but the novelty wore off. I think she wanted a bit more out of it. It was too much of an emotional commitment. I really just wanted the bjs. Now we’re not even friends. Regrets? No. Would I do it again? Probably not. Between my marriage and hobbying, I’m good.

I had one. IT WAS HER ADVANCE THAT i PICKED UP ON

We never had intercourse but most things were on the table which is a really good idea as that stops most VD and of course pregnanacy

SHE WAS A LOT KINKIER THAN ME

It just fizzled out and we stopped getting together as we never crossed paths so getting out was easy

I was not her first FWB nor do suspect the last

A woman could just become a MPA and make good $ at same time as MPAs and clients can form a casual friendship

Yup...have had a few for years...its not often, its more like ...we both like to both the rest of life on pause, we get each other, we enjoy the sex / almost stress relief we both are for each other..... high five, see you again in a few months....until then ongoing fun txt or chats once in a while on other life topics. ..mutual respect, mutual trust, mutual fun, no drama

I have never had it, FWB, outside the hobby. FWB has always been a myth.
Most women I have met hate this arrangement.
Never did the Tinder thing.

Think I will stick to the hobby.

Understand first and foremost a FWB is a friend first. These are people you know, enjoy spending time with, have a natural attraction and flirtation to, but have no desire to engage in a conventional relationship.

If you are looking for a one off, or just a "quick fling", FWB is not for you, because you WILL be throwing that friendship away (not much of a friend, huh?).

FWB are ongoing long/term, but without expectation. Often times it can be weeks, months, even years, between sexual encounters.

As soon as expectations enter the picture, kiss the relationship goodbye. Both parties co-sign to a very specific arrangement (spoken or not) and rarely does it turn out that both parties actually want more than that arrangement.

I have had a few and all were amazing experiences. Sexually better than with a SP, mostly due the fact that I knew for a fact, she wanted to be there as much a I did. Even with the few SP’s that I had a similar experiences with, the non-SP FWB experiences were better, except for maybe one.

Not sure whether we were considered to be FWB, Carla (not her real name) and I had a very complicated relationship. We casually dated when we were in our 20's, never committed to be exclusive. Within a few months, she and one of my best friends, Paul started to have feeling for each other. Paul didn't know we had slept together and asked for my permission to ask her out. Carla came to me later and asked me to keep our sexual relationship secret from Paul.

Carla and Paul got serious and moved in together within months. We stayed as friends within our social circles. When they broke up about two years later, Carla and I hooked up again for a few times. It stopped when she and Paul got back together after a few months. Paul never suspected anything happened between us and I felt so guilty about it.

They actually got married a year after getting back together but within a year they were separated. I had a steady girlfriend at that time but Carla and I hooked up again. We told each other that it was just sex. It did not mean anything. My GF at that time didn't feel comfortable that I hanged out with Carla all the time. Although she had no proof that I cheated, she eventually broke up with me.

Paul, on the other hand, didn't suspect anything and encouraged me to keep seeing Carla so he would know what his separated wife was up to. They got back together after the trial separation. They have been happily married since then and have two beautiful kids. We remain friends and I have been keeping my secret with Carla.

I've had a bunch, including one that lasted for over a decade.
What Jasmina (and the video, really) says is important. This is about friends. Discussing expectations is important.
Like all relationships, it evolves over time - some get more committed, some get less, some become more frequent, some less.

"Recreational, non-exclusive sex with a known and trusted other" is a good description.
I also like that the video lady leans into "have fun, be kind, and stay curious".

I had casual sex with friends but only one with the understanding of a relationship of friends with benefits. She admitted that she wanted more after about a month but I was fresh off breakup so I ended the benefits.

This is one of the benefits the SP/MPA services.
