Brad Marchand pulled a major dumbass move last night against the Pens when he sucker punched PIT goalie Tristan Jarry in the side of the head after the whistle when he was down on his knees after making a save. Then to make matters worse, he swung his stick while being led to the box by the linesman and connected with Jarry's neck/jaw.
He has a long history of infractions and suspensions, latest one occurring this season after he slew-footed Vancouver Canucks defender Oliver Ekman-Larsson. Pretty sure he gets at least 3-5 games off for this one.
The money his antics have cost him so far is almost $1M and he's sure to add to that amount shortly.
Worse part is, BOS is on the bubble for a playoff spot and he's been their top point producer. Not to mention Rask is likely toast now, and the B's will be back to cans of corn in goal unless they can swing a trade.
Jarry must be laughing in his soup.
