I think the Freedom Convoy may have already accomplished something…

66% vs 22%. You are really stretching the definition of "unity" especially if you take into account that government-supported Canadian media paints a negative portrait of this protest, so, a large portion of these 66% who did not go to the downtown themselves are influenced by the media.
You mean 22% were inundated with American funded social media and right wing media to join into a foreign funded insurrection attempt.
I do hope they enjoy the weather there while everything opens up around them because the omicron wave is ending.

I am sorry Frankfooter, but you are an idiot. I am sure only a few people told you that, but most people are too nice. While I disagree and happy to debate with lots of people, now I understand the usefulness of "ignore" feature. Will try to stay away from you in the future.

I am not sure I agree with you on this.
I think it is more likely that the Conservatives are losing support in the general population.
In Canada Governments are decided by elections. There was one not very long ago, why did people not vote the Conservatives into power then.
The conservatives won the popular vote in BOTH of the last 2 elections. The FPTP system obviously favours the liberals which is another debate on what is the “right” way for an election, but there were more Canadians than not who did NOT vote for Trudeau vs the CPC.

And here is another example (in blue) of how many radical lefties like to misrepresent things and label everything they do not like as racists. Nice way to unite the country.
Did it ever occur to you that some of us would rather not be united with dumbass fringe misinformed folks who occupy cities in which they are not welcomed or wanted??

Sure if you read nothing but the Star and the Globe. But, this is much bigger- not the protests by themselves- but the general state of the nation; the inflation, the daily increases in the gas prices, the hate of the mandates, the insecurity and confusion. ...
So you admit that these protests are simply an amalgam of angry people with no real motivation other than they hate Trudeau?

p.s. Most people don't "hate" the mandates. We don't like having all these restrictions but we understand the need.

At this point, it is not a name calling, just stating a fact. We are all inclusive society, so, there is a place for everyone. But I am tired of arguing with an idiot, so, will stay away from him.

...

The tide is turning, slowly but surely.
And people are dumb if they fall for this con. Health restrictions are provincial, they are implemented implemented by governments of every party, they are being reduced all across the country because the need is decreasing, we just had an election, and our country isn't run on instagram.

All you've done is add yourself to a political mailing list.

Okay, explain the need for the flowing restrictions:

1) PCR tests for people crossing US/Canada land border
2) Vaccine mandates for trackers who sit in their tracks most of the time

If msot of people agree with mandates, why not make them a "recommendation: and ask people to follow them? How many will be willing to follow them if they will be optional? This number is the true number of people who believes in their effectiveness.

The problem is the far right is only all inclusive if it fits their agenda. Just a question, why are gay folks being picked on in the US?

Why are Repugs not all inclusive?? What's going on???

ps...name calling is not right! You owe Frank an apology in my humble opinion.

There is a good Russian word for it: заебал. Unfortunately, google translate completely changes its meaning, so, unless you know Russian, you will not understand what I mean when I refer to Frankfooter posts.

This is a reportable post, fall.
Not that I will, but insults will get you banned.

Of course if you can't debate the facts...

Here's your problem. The doctors are 96% vaxxed. So the folks who actually know wtf is happening are OVERWHELMINGLY pro vaxx.

The "do your own research" crowd on Twitter and FB already KNOWS that "vaxxes are unnecessary or harmful". Just look at dudes like Oracle and Canada-man. They've been posting anti vaxx stuff for 2 years and their sole reading matter is anti vaxx, conspiracy theory internet pages. Those people are never going to vaxx nor mask, if given the choice.

And when they don't, they facilitate transmission of the virus to more diligent, reasonable folk.

This is the 1,549th time exactly the same argument has been debated on TERB. You guys don't get it because you don't want to get it. So just do what the government and the doctors tell you and we can all move on.

You should listen to the truckers who actually drive around in their trucks, not sitting in them, honking their horns and shitting in the streets.

And here is your problem: being pro-vax and pro-mandates are very different things. I am pro-vax and I am against vaccine mandate and mask requirements. I strongly support vaccination and wearing masks. Do you see the difference?
