Spotify is in trouble, their share price is falling.

Neil Young was looking for an excuse to leave Spotify, Joe Rogan became convenient. Spotify has been breaking the bank on podcasts, they paid $60 US to Alex Cooper to move the mind corrosive Call her Daddy to their platform...Dave Portnoy must have been overjoyed. At the same time they are downright miserly to musical artists, Neil Young may have tipped an avalanche. Spotify are starting to look like Bobby Axelrod at the end of S5 of Billions. The Machiavellian Mike Prince (ironic isn't it) spun him like a top, he goaded into making rash decision on emotional response.

Last summer Rogan didn't check his words, he was having a chat with his longtime friend Jim Norton. He said Sirius/XM is an impractical stone age platform. He failed to do his homework, the satellite radio service has it's own podcast platform. It started with Howard Stern (yawn) and is steadily growing. To them Joe Rogan became Public Enemy No. 1, Ch27 is devoted exclusevly to Neil Young's music, the podcast goes to the end of the month. Not only that, Apple TV has signed Jon Stewart for a televised podcast. I can only imagine the feeding frenzy once Charles barkley retires from TNT!

Jon Stewart's podcast - defending Joe Rogan.

Apart from Mike Prince, Corey Stoll got the extreme honour of playing a young Corrado "Junior" Soprano.

Season 5 of Billions should be a requirement of Business Administration in Universities.

Spotify has never turned a profit. Kinda like Uber.
You don't fucking say, where did the money come from to pay Alex Cooper $60 million?

Dave Portnoy left satellite radio for dedicated podcasts. Haven't been to NJ in over two years, do want to check out some of his pizza recommendations. He must have been pinching himself when he heard the deal Spotify was offering Alex Cooper.

Deathbed confessions is worth my Spotify subscription. Never listened to Rogan. The clips I've heard he seems like boring know it all like stern.

I've never heard of Deathbed Confessions, nothing is as boring as current Stern.

Alex Cooper cashed in, the other half of Call her Daddy (Sofia Franklyn) is dead from the neck up.

Honestly it's definitely worth checking out. It digs deep Into them. From John Wilkes booth to roswell. They are about 30-40 minutes each.

Stern in the last 5 years has gone bad. He has become what he used to mock. I took him off my Sirius presets.

Chuck said he's retiring from TNT when he turns 60. If he decides to do a podcast, how much is he worth?

Keep in mind he's as much a savvy investor as Shaq, he just doesn't advertise it.

Check how many years it took Amazon to turn profit. The goal is to grow at all cost until and eat up everyone else.
It's not the same, Amazon's main competition were slow to get into e-commerce, all they had to worry about were eBay and the forerunner of Rakuten.

Spotify faces a tougher challenge, they are going up against Apple, Sirius/XM and Comcast.

Except amazon and apple also offer streaming now and can afford to lose money until they are wiped out.
Spotify has no chance against them.

People still don't get it. It's not the platform, it's the content.
