Oblivion
You hit the nail on the head, people are fatigued with all the restrictions and want them to end NOW!!

The only people who still oppose mandates are the ones who havent left their basement in the last 2 years
What about pandemic associated government financial support and pandemic social assistance, do the protesters want that to end as well ? I don’t think so as these protestors seem to have a conflicted sense of entitlement which is very dangerous to all including themselves.
The pandemic still rages on with great uncertainty.

Remember in 2020 when a handful of Indigenous protesters near Bellville blocked on rail traffic to eastern Canada? Our Prime Minister refused to remove the blockade. Travelers were stranded. VIA Rail was shut down. 450 CN employees were laid off. CN got several court injunctions to remove the protesters but the Prime Minister refused, saying "This has to be solved by dialogue". Shelves were becoming empty in Atlantic Canada and Fuel was being rationed. Our Prime Minister said "Canadian's must be patient". That was a handful of protesters. So, what do you think this Government is going to do with thousands of truckers?
Big difference. Indins were actually on their own land, even after all the one sided treaties and wholesale persecution...

That's pretty fucked up. Good thing you'll never be in charge.

Call in the army?

Over a protest?

Yeah, thats a great idea.
Call in the army? To ensure that hospitals can continue to function? To see that citizens can feel safe in their own homes? That's not a great idea, but it may be the only way to best serve the citizenry..

Because under Canadian law they are considered innocent until proven guilty.
And since Trudeau labelled them all as racists the onus is on him to prove that they really are racists
What you just wrote is nonsense.

The "presumption of innocence" applies to court proceedings only. Trudeau doesn't have to prove dick. And in any event, the proof is pretty evident from who the organizers are and the flags the protestors carried.

Trudeau is not responsible for vast majority of the “mandates “. Learn about federal and provincial jurisdiction before you “protest” about something you have no clue about.
The same "END THE MANDATES" message applies to every provincial premier as well

Ok - I don’t agree with who is organizing this. It is a political ploy from the Maverick Party. That I agree with and I’m glad that GFM shut them down for it. I wish that it was a trucker, a trucking company, etc.

But the flags? How many racists flags vrs Canadian flags were flown? Seriously. We all know that racist people will jump on the bandwagon of other causes and do not directly represent the whole. I think that is what is playing here. I have seen WAY more Canadian flags then racists ones.

Trudeau may be correct that this is a small fringe group of Canadians but he is wrong on them being all racists and terrorists. IF that is what he called them.

Except when the idiots started this, they demanded Trudeau’s head or HE has to end mandates. He can’t. They didn’t figure that out right away and that is why this weekend there are protests in Quebec and Ontario. It took others from the opposite side to point out to them their flawed protest location. Lol

Actually he does. If you call someone racist without evidence you have to be able to prove that or it becomes slander, which is covered under civil law

Did he say they all were racists/ terrorists? That’s something the protesters, their supporters and opposition politicians have been shouting about, butI don’t remember reading that, and searching the news, I can’t find it. I could be wrong tho.

But he didn’t identify (if he actually said it) a single person and some, very minority some but some did fly racist flags. So would not win in court. Although I would love to see someone take someone to court over all this. That is the only place that something can be done.

I know he called them a fringe minority. That was the big one I heard from him.

Yes. But that's not "presumption of innocence" is it. And a group cannot sue for slander, only a named individual can. So no slander suit is going to happen.

You want to keep arguing law with me, Lol?

Show us where he said all of the protesters are racist?
He didnt say "all" specifically, but when you pick out one idiot with a Nazi flag out of 10,000 protestors he is insinuating that.
Why else say it??

And look at @mandrill's post above, he also believes that either all (or a large part of) protestors are racist.
I can tell you from attending yesterdays protest there were people of all colours there.
They were all united too, which was kinda cool
