My understanding is that he was in a contract he couldn't get out of, so this gets his music off the site which he couldn't do himself.

Not sure how true that is - rights in the music industry are a mess.

So what you're saying is that he wanted his music off of Spotify a long time ago and due you a contract couldn't my guess would be that he doesn't own all the rights to his music so he just waited for a reason he could use. He's not all about pro-vax and medical misinformation but used them as the reason.

Apple is decent from what I have heard.
Tidal is good, but a bit pricier. (My friends who are into sound quality prefer it, but I don't have the set up to tell the difference.)

Could be. Lots of people don't like the rights deals with these streaming services.
He is very pro-vax though, from what I know, given his history with polio.

Polio and covid are 2 different things. I don't think he's pro vax even if he's been vaccinated for other things. I think he's just looking for a reason to get out of a contract he doesn't like. He's a sell out only looking for the almighty dollar.
