This guy's contract has to be one of the best bargains in the league.

There may have been 1 or 2  Dubas critics at the time.

St Louis is 12-0-1 at home since their last loss to none other than Arizona.
St Louis is also tied for most comeback wins in the League.

To ensure that the Leafs do not collapse, they should make sure to never take the lead.

Sadly, the last time I have watched the Leafs game was last Saturday vs Avalanche reminded me the same as I remembered. Blowed out 4-1 lead lost in the over time.

What's changed? Nothing. It's nice to see Kadri is doing well though.

Hopefully, they prove me wrong tonight.

Still not convinced that Campbell is the goalie the Leafs need. He was mediocre until a year ago so what changed?

Since Johnny Bower retired, the Leafs, with one or two exceptions, have signed goalies way past their best before date or rejects from other teams. During that time, they also traded away FHOF goalie Rash.

That's a very funny post.

You keep referencing Johnny Bower. He was mediocre and spent the vast bulk of his career in the minors until 1958, when he was 34 years old.

Yet Campbell has had a regular NHL job since 2018 when he posted a 2.30 GAA, and he is still now only 30 years old.

So in your opinion it is very easy to accept that Bower became good at age 34 as an almost career minor leaguer, but you are skeptical of Campbell at age 30 who's been in the league for 4 years already.

Typical dartsy insight. 😂 😂😂😂😂

Doubt Campbell will ever be considered as good as Johnny Bower or make the HOF or have his statute in front of Scotia Arena or have his number retired.

Bower's debut in the NHL at age 29 in the NHL was very unusual. Most, if not all, great goalies of his era had their debut while still in their early 20's.

"The top six goalies in that top-100 ranking were Sawchuk (ninth overall), Plante (13th), Hall (16th), Ken Dryden (25th), Bill Durnan (34th) and Roy (35th)." 4 of the 6 are Habs. (Both Sawchuk and Hall were in the Red Wing system at the same time before Hall left.)

And Detroit made the right move in keeping Sawchuk.

Of Worsely, Vachon and Espo, Montreal put the vastly superior Esposito on waivers and kept the other two. They did not seem to do a very good evaluation there.
