She made a very good point. It is bodies vrs bodies not identity vrs identity.

Physical body between male and female is just different and bio-males have the advantage of their puberty behind them. They grew the muscle, the body, etc before transitioning. So they got all the benefit from testosterone.

It is annoying to me that I can have the knowledge to do some construction work but I don’t have the physical power I sometimes need. I took a deck apart - well tried to anyway. I couldn’t take out the screws because I didn’t have the force i needed behind the drill to get them out. But a male neighbour comes over and bam - screws are out in no time. I would have stripped them all if I kept trying.

Men are just stronger then women. Men, as stated, have a larger lung capacity, larger heart, etc.

But women get thrown under the bus all the time. So this is no different. Men want to dominate and here is another place for them to do it.

Half the women are feminist and the other half want to eat their cake as well.
To satisfy the feminists have only 1 league. No segregation between men and women.
That will piss off the other half of the women who want segregated women's leagues.
You can't have it both ways.

We agree to disagree. I believe there is a solution but not enough participants.
I find it odd that people who normally exhibit a strong sense of fair play can support this. If gender equality is so important in competition, why should there be "women's" sports to begin with? On the other hand, there's bound to be a ton of good jokes as a result. Even new golf jokes:D...

The proof that the discussion is based upon bigotry is that it is only about Trans people.

Other problems with gender in sport is not as prone to attract interest.

What about all the non-binary people like Demi Lovato? Where do they fit in?

I doubt your freedom to feel that way has ever been jeopardized. Most of us value freedom of speech… even for the idiots.

And I don’t understand your claim of people being “offended” by your opinion. 99.9% of the people subjected to it don’t really care, as it does not affect us directly.

What I suspect you really mean is, why should there be consequences and criticism of your opinions. That is your confusion. Thinking to myself “what an asshat” does not mean I am offended. I just have the ability to see “objective reality”, and a person using “freedoms” to mask bigotry.

I suppose I could be wrong, but I’m usually not.
Ah, where have you been? Speakers are being prevented from giving talks at universities ALL THE TIME because radical groups will not tolerate them being allowed to talk. Freedom of speech is being very much jeopardized.

When the consequences of freedom of speech is that you can no longer be allowed to give a speech - and I mean PHYSICALLY prevented - then it is disingenuous to merely say, " Oh you just don't want consequences." No-one is talking about stopping criticism - well , now that I think of it, the other side - in fact, it is is precisely criticism of THEIR views that want them to shut the conversation down.

Of COURSE the consequences are the problem! By your definition there is ALWAYS freedom of speech everywhere if one is physically able to talk. So there must be freedom of speech in North Korea - its just that you have to face the consequences if you practise it, which could likely include work camps or death.

Regarding "Offended' - that is the excuse to attempt to curtail free speech.

What bigotry? Have I expressed bigotry? No, I have not.

Have you Barnacle ever been prevented from speaking? I would hazard a guess no… but expect you to go through mental gymnastics to play victim of your freedoms being lost some how.

And let me ask you something, does Terb restrict your freedom? There is expected behaviour on how we conduct ourselves, and failure to adhere would result in being banned.

However… Terb is a private entity, and well within its right to do so. So then we have to examine how can we have freedom of speech, and private entities can exercise there own rights? It’s a tough one if you don’t understand what freedom of speech really means. American citizens were given the right to express their opinions without fear of reprisal from the government. You won’t go to jail if you tell the President “let’s go Brandon”. That’s all.

Of course centrists like me champion that right.

I stand by my comments…. Your rebuttal with North Korea, and offense is meant to curtail…. Was mere incoherent ramblings. Do better.

"Non-binary or genderqueer is an umbrella term for gender identities that are neither male nor female‍—‌identities that are outside the gender binary. Non-binary identities fall under the transgender umbrella, since non-binary people typically identify with a gender that is different from their assigned sex"

I guess that technically she can't play with the boys or the girls. I think trans still pick a gender whether that be boy or girl.

You didn't address my point. I symapthise with your desire to address some other point, but nevertheless I shall guide you back.

Have people been prevented from speaking at universities for the above-mentioned reasons or not?

Since when are we talking about TERB?

Also please answer for your comment about bigotry - were you talking about me? If so, please provide specific evidence.

Why don’t I address your point? I did. I just didn’t play your game.

Asking someone a question you already know the answer to, presumably to go “see! I told you I was right!” is a tactic. Besides, I already said I believe in free speech. You building straw men to attack is really not worth perusing.

All that being said…. Yes. People have been cancelled from speaking at universities. And I don’t agree with it. Most liberals don’t agree with it.

Now, can you answer this for me… has an athlete ever been cancelled or ridiculed for what he protested? Has a professional sports league ever fired or banned a player for protesting? Have people boycotted products those athletes were sponsored by?

Also…. Can you show me any examples of yourself defending Capernik or James on this board for their right to free speech? I’ll wait.

And did I say you Specifically were a bigot? No. I don’t know you. I don’t presume to know you. However, based on the law of averages, there are some on the board.

My thoughts on bigotry…. It exists on both sides of the aisle, in different forms. One party seems to attract more of them. Many many more. Much louder and crazier ones. That does mean every person in that party is a bigot. Far from it. For political reasons, many stay silent and do not call out the bigotry. Some even go to great lengths to paint the bigotry in a different light. You could that in it if itself is a form of bigotry…. But in my view it’s not. I look for actual malice. Does McCarthy defend Trump because of malice, or is the motivation political posturing. 2 different things. Both bad.

So, we're at the point where we are determining gender by (self)proclamation...and a great part of the lefties are going with it. Nothing like trusting the science, eh? ROTFLMFAO!!
