Does this trans athlete still have a cock and balls?

If yes, then I would question their level of commitment to being trans. I mean taking drugs to supress testosterone is kind of a chicken approach to being a transexual. Going in for the chop shows a true level of commitment.

I've heard it said that some trans athletes only go this route because they knew they never had a prayer competing against other men, but against women, they could be champs and set records. Then, once they've fulfilled their champion dreams, simply stop taking the testosterone suppressants and in no time you're back to being a man.

But chopping off the balls and cock, well, there's no going back from that is there.
“I’ve heard it said…”. Sounds like you may have advised a former President. 🤷‍♂️

Clearly, there are problems with gender identities in sport.

I kind of think it is right to let everyone decide their gender, as long as they do not harm anybody else or pose a threat to somebody else.

Does that create a problem for sport competition? Undeniably.

What is more important, sport or individual freedom?

When there is money involved then it becomes a different matter. And in this case scholarships worth 10,000's can be on the line.

What freedom are you referring to? We are all free to believe what we want, the problem is forcing everyone to believe the same thing.

The only 'freedom' in this case is the freedom to try and force (how ironic is that!) everyone else to accept as reality what he WANTS reality to be.

Why am I not FREE as well to consider this person - born a man, who has altered his body and/or hormones, and believes/wants himself to be/be considered by others a woman, - why am I not FREE to consider him to be EXACTLY THAT - a man, who has altered his body and/or hormones, and believes/wants himself to be/be considered by others a woman?

If you don't like it and are offended, why am I not FREE to offend you? There is nothing offensive or hateful about that, I just believe in objective reality.

As does everyone when they hit their/her/its/his thumb with a hammer.

She made a very good point. It is bodies vrs bodies not identity vrs identity.

Physical body between male and female is just different and bio-males have the advantage of their puberty behind them. They grew the muscle, the body, etc before transitioning. So they got all the benefit from testosterone.

It is annoying to me that I can have the knowledge to do some construction work but I don’t have the physical power I sometimes need. I took a deck apart - well tried to anyway. I couldn’t take out the screws because I didn’t have the force i needed behind the drill to get them out. But a male neighbour comes over and bam - screws are out in no time. I would have stripped them all if I kept trying.

Men are just stronger then women. Men, as stated, have a larger lung capacity, larger heart, etc.

But women get thrown under the bus all the time. So this is no different. Men want to dominate and here is another place for them to do it.

I doubt your freedom to feel that way has ever been jeopardized. Most of us value freedom of speech… even for the idiots.

And I don’t understand your claim of people being “offended” by your opinion. 99.9% of the people subjected to it don’t really care, as it does not affect us directly.

What I suspect you really mean is, why should there be consequences and criticism of your opinions. That is your confusion. Thinking to myself “what an asshat” does not mean I am offended. I just have the ability to see “objective reality”, and a person using “freedoms” to mask bigotry.

I suppose I could be wrong, but I’m usually not.

Of course, what you post is correct. There are just a few issues that we have to consider:

1. The world of genders is not entirely binary. There are shades of grey. A few people are neither 100% male nor 100% female.

2. How many 100% boys want to win a girls tournament? It is not like Global Warming that impacts millions of people.

I agree with most of what you're saying, I don't support trans competing with women. I just don't think its a intentional conspiracy to dominate women. Its a idiotic political thing to show that we're politically correct.

1. I never said different, but as of now, sports are designed by gender. So for it to be equal, sports need to change that. Not have men who have had the advantage of puberty and larger bio capacity, compete against bodies that were made differently and not equally.

2. It doesn’t matter how many cis men want to play women sports. It is not about that at all so I don’t get your attempted point. All it takes is one. This one is ruining female swimming. Are you really saying it is fair to women in this league? I think not.

Time to make trans sports leagues to equal it out.

You missed my point. Men have been dominating women since the beginning of time. Hence there is no issue with doing it now in this regard. It would be an issue to consider if it was impacting men. Then those in power would take issue but because it is a woman’s problem - no one cares. Better to be PC. It’s only women getting hurt.

I’m not saying it is a global conspiracy, I’m saying Women’s issue are just not given a shit about like mens issues are. In general. At least from my experience.

First, try to keep a perspective. It is hardly accurate to claim that female swimming has been ruined. I belive there are still females swimming this morning.

IOC tried to find ways to determine what gender an athlete is, with not a lot of success. Remember the South African runner, and the Russian Shot putters. It really is not as easy as you make it sound to be. Do you want to force women with unusual amounts of testosterone to take medicine to compete. Males with a deficit in testosterone are not allowed to take any.

Even without considering trans it is near impossible.

You could get rid of professional sports all together for all I care. But this league of female swimming is indeed being ruined. Which is what I said. This league.

You don’t have to agree. No one if forcing you too.

And I don't have to disagree either. What I am trying to point out is that nobody, including you, have found a solution to the problem of gender determination in sports.

You don’t have to define gender Per se

Make trans leagues.

Male trans
Female trans.

The issue is not finding a resolution or determination of gender, the issue is population. There is not enough Trans athletes to make a leagues yet. So in the meantime, Women’s leagues suffer.

I feel like part of the underlying assumption in some of the most cynical coverage of this story is that some/many/all of these athletes are identifying as trans women in-order to dominate a sport. In other words, it’s all part of some pretend trans-person‘s ruse.

It is not only a problem for trans. It is a general problem the IOC has been unable to solve.
