I believe you can buy reusable pods to fill with your own coffee
I find deals all the time. Bought Boyd French Vanilla for $2.00. For a box of 80 @ $.025 per cup. Bought 10 boxes and gave some away to friends. Just have to look for the deals
The cheapest way is to buy a bag of coffee beans, grind yourself and use a press.
The problem with these pods coffee is not only the price. It's the taste! Taste like shit!
They often use filler like earth in those pods which explains the shitty taste. Homemade is best from grind.
Buy my own, coarse grind, french press (Bodum) great cup of coffee
Nothing wrong with that it proves that shit sells, now they're even selling Bieber's sack sweat. People run over children to get in line at Tim's.
I take the time for a French press on weekends, but I appreciate the convenience of a Keurig brew for my commute and at work during the week.
I bought a few packs of re-usable pods a couple years ago. They were about $10/5 on Amazon if you don’t buy Keurig-brand.
I grind my preferred beans and pack them in no time on weekends. They’re a little messy unless you’re careful after filling, but if I don’t have time for a press, with the right beans they beat the hell out of what they serve at Timmies, or the now discontinued communal drip pot at work.
I’ve found a few pre-filled pods that aren’t too bad, but agree that most seem to be geared towards the tasteless.
I have people in my life that still think a K-Cup is the devil because of the waste they produce, and for the most part, I agree with them. But, I tend to ignore people that say that AND buy take-out coffee with single-use tops.

I still have the coffee pot my father made when I was a little prick in Italy, still works well making strong coffee.
I once asked a coffee roaster what the secret to a good cup of coffee was. His answer: "lots of beans, little water"
I am all about my french press. Fast, fresh, easy, best coffee. I bought a nespresso last year, for espresso specifically, and tried the coffees, noticed some molding very soon after in the disposal which totally turned me off any of the pod machines. Ick.
Received a Nespresso machine for a Xmas gift a few years ago, the wife loves it but it is costing me a fortune for the pods. Bought some compatible pods, tasted like crap and they leaked like hell. Starbuck pods are not bad.
