I was double vaxxed in November of 2021 (so last month).
2 days after my 2nd jab I started developing tendinitis along the arm where I got pricked.
Its most severe around my elbow. Its been 30 days now and it still hasnt gone away
Sorry to hear that.

I can only assume that one was caused by the other, but I remember this headline earlier in the fall.

I'd get that checked asap. Similar thing happened to someone I know. He actually lost use of his arm and is now scheduled to have some cervical spine surgery to help correct it. Mere coincidence I imagine
I have a friend who has an employee that is claiming the vaccine she only got because she wanted to keep her job caused her to get SIRVA which has, according to her doctor, prevented her from being able to work ever since.

She has a history of seemingly innocuous workplace (it’s an office) injuries that lead to near-permanent disability signed-off by the same doctor. Whenever it goes to IME, the injury clears up enough for gradual return to duties.

He suspects it will be the same here, but she can’t return to work until she gets her second shot, and she’s refusing it.

Which vaccine? Was it Moderna?

I think he said he took BioNTech/Pfizer both doses.
Ok. Long thread, I missed that post.

A friend of a friend took Moderna and his left arm really hurt afterwards. I took Pfizer both shots, no issues.

Any issues with mixing doses for the booster shot? My first two were Moderna, but I’m booked in for a Pfizer booster at the end of the month.

Does anyone know what they mean by “six months (168 days)?” Isn’t six months 182.5 days?

My appointment is well over 168 days, but slightly under 183 days from my 2nd dose. I’m booked through a 3rd party (GP clinic).

I could have also booked an appointment through the Ontario booking portal, as I’ve now aged in.Toronto and GTA availability wasn’t great, but outside of that zone there were lots of appointments still available for the first week of January.

Good to know. I’m all set (and then some).

Is it just me, or is it a ton easier to get an early one than even 2nd dose appointments were, between pharmacies, pop ups, GP clinics, municipal and provincial options?

Shit, I waited 0 minutes to see what was available through the provincial tool today.

6 months at 28 days/month (4 weeks) = 168 days.
Because months are inconsistent numbers, they usually do things by days or weeks, but "6 months" is something people can easily wrap their heads around so for communication purposes they use that. (It's like how we still talk about 9 months for pregnancy but all the actual medical stuff for tracking pregnancy is by week.)

AZ, Pfizer, Pfizer booster two weeks ago. Minor tenderness at the site on the third one, but nothing else.

Should it not concern you that when you originally took your 1st and 2nd doses, not one medical official was saying that you would need at least a booster shot in 6 months? You have no problem with moving goalposts/fly by the seat of your pants healthcare policy? Helping to lead western civilization down the path to an Eastern style communist social credit system. What a shame.
At the time, was already aware that the vaccine efficacy was estimated to be about 6 months.

No one told me you’ll need to do it again, but knowing that it wasn’t good indefinitely plus the fact the virus mutates, was expecting it.

The only question remaining is why?
And you know the answer to that too .

But since your a Trump fan

Key Points
  • COVID-19 vaccines protect everyone ages 5 years and older from getting infected and severely ill, and significantly reduce the likelihood of hospitalization and death.
  • Getting vaccinated is the best way to slow the spread of COVID-19 and to prevent infection by Delta or other variants.
  • A vaccine breakthrough infection happens when a fully vaccinated person gets infected with COVID-19. People with vaccine breakthrough infections may spread COVID-19 to others.
  • Even if you are fully vaccinated, if you live in an area with substantial or high transmission of COVID-19, you – as well as your family and community – will be better protected if you wear a mask when you are in indoor public places.
  • People who are immunocompromised may not always build adequate levels of protection after an initial 2-dose primary mRNA COVID-19 vaccine series. They should continue to take all precautions recommended for unvaccinated people, until advised otherwise by their healthcare professional. Further, CDC recommends that moderately or severely immunocompromised people receive an additional primary dose of vaccine.

Actually, you are only partially correct. Pfizer, Moderna....etc only have about a 90% protection rate.
That means 10% still gets through.

When it comes to Delta it drops even lower to approximately 85%
Enter Omicron and nobody knows for sure yet, but it looks to be around 50% or lower (so far)
