Where are they available? I've been using surgical masks, which I believe are close to, but not quite at N-95 levels for filtration.

And what if you bought a shit ton of cloth non-medical masks and don't want to buy N95s? Or (and I know this is a bad example to use on an Escort Review Board) maybe you are poor and can't afford to buy N95s and all you can have is cloth masks? What then?

I really think the only way out of this pandemic is for the virus to continue to mutate into a version of itself that is highly transmissible, but produces symptoms that most resemble the common cold.

There are four other coronavirus out there that cause the common cold; human societies have been around for about 10,000 years; maybe at one point these four other coronaviruses caused pandemics.

How did the 1918 Flu Pandemic end? There wasn't a vaccine available; eventually enough people got infected to create herd immunity and life resumed....unfortunately, a lot of people died along the way.

I've been buying and using N95 masks since the Wuhan outbreak, people yelled at me saying I'm crazy.

I have a 3m respirator mask with replaceable P100 rated filters (P just means that the filter is oil proof) , better than the N95 rated masks.
Got it when the pandemic began, I clean the mask with alcohol swabs once a week.

Don’t get the ones with the exhalation valve. If you are infected, it lets virus out. Good masks will protect the wearer from other people and vice versa.

I almost ordered a box but a little more reading brought me to the same conclusion.

There are lots of places online selling k95 masks, that are a little more comfortable than the n95, cheaper and should work very well unless you are a hcw in close proximity to. Ovid patients. I ordered 50 the other day.

Careful with buying masks off Amazon, there are a lot of fakes on there and Amazon does NOT do a good job with vetting the products being sold on their market place.

I would suggest looking at Health Canada's approved list for N95 masks and buy from one of those companies.

I was able to get a pack of 10 for $30 including shipping.
