Barry Manilow
His best work was his early work.
State Farm Insurance ("Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there") or Band-Aid ("I am stuck on Band-Aid, 'cause Band-Aid's stuck on me!"), for which he adopted a childlike voice and wrote the music (Donald B Wood wrote the lyrics). His singing-only credits include commercials for Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pepsi ("all across the nation, it's the Pepsi generation"), McDonald's ("you deserve a break today"), and Dr Pepper.
All downhill from there.

As a kid in the seventies, we had hobbicraft at De La Salle camp. As well as tye dye shirts, I made a shirt with Led Zepplin written on it. One of the girls in charge of hobbicraft told me it was spelt Led Zeppelin. I said no it was not. She said o.k. She was right. Listened to Zep 2 with my friend all the time. Lousy band in concert from all I have seen online and their Song Remains the Same movie(I did not see them live in concert myself). Agree about Sting. Billy Joel, maybe only two songs are good. Phil Collins maybe only a couple of Genesis songs and solo stuff is horrible except for 1 or 2 songs.
Can't agree with

Can't agree with Sting Ogi, also, I was never a big fan of Led Z, however, be did a duet album 15 years ago with Allison Krauss who I think has a beautiful voice and I was surprised how good Plant sounded.

And the next one he did with, I think, Patti Griffin.

The first one was produced by T-Bone Burnett and the second was produced by Buddy Miller. This one won the Grammy for best album of Americana music.

I'd buy just about any album produced by T-Bone. He's a musical genius.

After all this hate, who is left?
Well I guess there’s still a long list of musicians, but once you list who they are people will hate on them too.
The bottom line is you like who you like and if you don’t like them don’t listen to them.

Nathan your point is well taken and the thread has become more of Bands/Singers i hate............ but sticking to the original theme i dont hate Dianna Ross or her music for instance, but in my opinion vastly overrated.....and there are plenty others..

Austrian Death Machine.
You will thank me later.

We will always have this also

I know I know, I should widen my musical tastes, it's a real problem.

I'm surprised nobody went after Rod Stewart. Good singer and great songs in his career, but is he really worth all the praise?

Generally speaking, singers/bands that had hits in the 1970s turned into plastic in the 1980s.

i would agree...............but after he left The Spencer Davis Group
Steve Winwood is one of my rock heroes. He's a genius and his work in Traffic is legendary. John Barleycorn Must Die is an all-time classic in which he played almost all of the instruments and the Low Spark of High Heeled Boys is great. And then Blind Faith with Clapton and Baker. He's much more appreciated in the U.K. than here.

Let me start with a bang...

Pink Floyd...The Eagles...
I never see The Eagles get pushed enough these days to the point of overrated.

Pink Floyd I'd agree outside of the Syd Barrett days, Atom Heart Mother and Animals. Also for PF fans, give Madcap Laughs a listen as its a phenomenal album despite how hard it was to produce given Syd's mental state at the time.
