Sorry but it wasn't a "duty". It is the duty of the police and the state to stop that activity, whether through police intervention or actually trying to make the laws more equitable. He chose to go to another state and 'protect' property that wasn't his and the owners never asked him to do. The US has all sorts of laws and restrictions on vigilante actions for a reason.

That's a different topic than how accurately the courts interpreted their laws on the charges.

I completely 100% agree; however, the problem in America centres on their "2nd Amendment". The instant any lawmaker in the US even thinks of tabling a bill to restrict what Americans can and can't do with guns, there's a massive outpour of "but muh rights! Muh freeDUMB!" I watched the trial, I was wondering if you did....he never engaged with the 3 men, the chase him, he didn't fire his gun until he had to...the only guy who lived was the guy with a PISTOL so I don't know where you're getting your info of them "unarmed"...he got kicked and got smacked with a skateboard...I'm just glad you're not part of the jury since you don't seem to recognize facts...just opinions...
