Everything is that easy in your twisted mind, eh?

1 cop was down and as we found out later had a concussion.

There was 1 cop left chasing and he was fired upon.

Perp made his choice and now he's gone.

In some alternate reality they don't shoot and chase him instead, someone films them arresting a black guy and BAM, cops are bad and he's just an innocent boy in the wrong place at the wrong time. Atlanta pays him millions and Brooks' name lives on with the likes of George Floyd
Still excessive force.

It's not my mind. It's the DA's mind as well.

In a civilized country, Rittenhouse would have been found guilty simply because he was walking around with a loaded AR-15.

But 'Murica is far from civilized.
It's also called democracy, a lofty concept that most Canadians only understand little. The people of Wisconsin decided that self defense is a fundamental right and provided the citizenry(themselves)with the means to exercise it. Hence, you can carry a weapon and even use it in certain circumstances. It may not meet your definition of "civilized", but this is what the voters agreed to.

Okay, but that's a misdemeanour.

Would you have found him guilty of homicide too??
Honestly? If I was the judge and this was trial by judge, I would follow the law prescribed by the state (Wisconsin), and, like it or not, I'd have found him not guilty.

My criticism isn't so much about the verdict, but rather about how fucked up laws in the United States are.

Ok, let's play with this a little.

Assuming that you're correct - and 18 year olds were certainly fighting in all theatres in WW2 - it's still different. If KR was in the military, there would be chain of command. He would have assigned duties. He would be trained. There would be a buddy system to prevent him taking undue risks.

He wouldn't have been walking around in a hostile crowd by himself. He would have been in a supported environment with his other squad members covering him.

90% of this shit is happening because KR is perceived as isolated and vulnerable by predators such as Rosenbaum.
Do your self a quick google lots of under 18 served in both wars

It may surprise you, but we have self defence in Canada as well.

He would have done time for the gun, as would Grosskreutz. But he would have been acquitted of murder in Toronto, just like Kenosha.

You do realize that as a Canadian I am not that worried, as long as Americans only kill each other. It is a favorite pastime of theirs and It is unfortunate for many reasons, but not really that important for me.

Sure. But what about the rest of my post?
training was quick mostly on equipment use buddy system ? It’s not kindergarten

Bottom line is if a 17-year-old can invade and liberate Europe they can walk around with a legal firearm

I haven't been following all the testimony but if the charges involve the events captured in this video:

Then I would have found him not guilty of the shots fired as he fell down before the protesters retreated. There is a point after he was clearly out of danger when he stood up, walked a little then leveled his rifle and fired into the retreating people. If those shots wounded anyone, I would find him guilty of those resulting charges. Based on that clip I would certainly support reckless use/ endangerment of a firearm if there was a charge.

Just my view from the peanut gallery.

Regardless of the judgement, there are a lot of wacko militia groups that you don't want arming themselves and turning a civil unrest event into an armed conflict. It has to be law enforcements ultimate nightmare..

you are too dismissive of any discussion or opinion that deviates from your own............you are a light weight...............and make no mistake i am just as guilty.....so i admit it ..so should you..lol..
After reading the hatchet job they did on Jordan Peterson it was obvious what their agenda was.
