Its normalized. There are nations that go years without a single one. I go to Florida and I see fat old men in restaurants carrying guns at their hip. In Kissimmee, down the road from Disneyland.

I didn't say he was a resident. But he thought it was his right to sit in a Perkins in a tourist town and do this. And the restaurant served him. This happened.

No cops were called. No one batted an eye. That is the insanity. Do you know how many guns are confiscated at the Canadian border from Americans? That people still try to wear them on planes in the USA? Or smuggle them in luggage?

most Americans are not attempting to smuggle guns into Canada they are simply unaware of our laws they didn’t bother to check or they’re on their way to Alaska and think they can just leave them in the car and drive up to Alaska.

Oh and when you fly with your gun you check it in with your luggage it’s not a big deal. You Do it in Canada too, Has to be in an airline approved container with the trigger lock and unloaded and have your paperwork (ATT) in Canada but not a big deal

The restaurants not going to enforce laws there in the business of making food not laws Look it up yourself there’s no open carry in Florida maybe the guy was a sheriff or some other LEO

There is the obvious point that all those countries listed are third world countries and most of them are subject to narco gang violence.

The same people who will point to Central America as being far more violent than the US will also decry any attempt by people from those countries to claim refugee status in the USA, of course.

Watching the prosecution questioning Rittenhouse with video evidence. Most of the people he was walking past were unarmed and just standing around. They seemed quite approachable and engaged him in casual conversation as he passed. Just a thought. Maybe if he hadn't been carrying a gun the situation wouldn't have escalated against him. The crowd wouldn't have turned against him. He brought it all on himself.
The self defense argument is correct in that if I was in that situation being chased down by a growing crowd and my immediate threat was somebody about to beat me up and I had a gun, I would have probably shot to save my life. However. Having a gun is what pissed everybody off.
