At least passing is possible at Spa. Bet Merc is going to pull away without any issues this weekend. Lewis will have a solid lead in the Championship after this weekend.

That was a big hit for Norris. Stunned they let Q3 proceed. Too many accidents under less than ideal conditions with today's race cars

Think he had a great chance of pole today

LOL that was some race. Glad to see that Lewis was not winded after that race.

Think if Lewis had captured the pole he would not have wanted his 100th F1 victory to come after 2 laps behind the safety car.

Let's hope the weather will be better for the next race.

I missed the race, but I guess I didn't miss much.
Judging by the amount of rain they were getting it was for the better to cancel.

The true MVPs of Spa 2021 - The fans at the track who stuck it out. On the whole they seemed to try and keep a party atmosphere going.
From the travelling circus that is F1... MVPs are Martin Brundle and David Croft keeping 4 hours of footage of basically drenched fans and fog actually interesting. Even when reading the rule book trying to work out the options. On the Sky F1 feed they even didn't resort to commercial breaks every 5 minutes.
At least F1 acknowledged the rules for this scenario don't fit modern F1, partly because they haven't needed to be used for quite some time, and committed to review and update in consultation with teams and stakeholders.
Honorable mention to Bernd Maylander going out there in a road car, albeit a high performance road car, and pushing it to the limit in squeaky bum conditions to lead maybe $100 million worth of cars around a couple of laps.
If it hadn't been a back to back with Zandvoort running the race on Monday might have been more of an option. Even then, marshalls would have been a problem. They are volunteers, it may not have gone down well at work 'Boss, I can't come in on Monday. I have to go to Spa to wave flags for Max Verstappen".

So Bottas to Alfa? or Mick moves to Alfa?
Bottas to Alfa is my guess, but I think Williams would be wise to take him back. They need an experienced driver in their car to pair with Latiffi.

Bet Mick is staying put. He will move in 2023 to a dominate team once the new cars are established. I can see Ferrari wanting him

The way the guys on Sky 1 sports were talking today it sounds like a done deal that George Russell is going to Merc and Alex Albon might be coming back but to Williams.
Silly season is under way with Kimi announcing his retirement.

Norris does not like this track. Think that crash at Spa last weekend is impacting his driving.

Lets hope Alfa/Sauber can build Bottas a solid car.

I thought Merc would have announced Russell before Alfa made theirs. Kinda takes the wind out of Merc's big news.
