Will Lewis Hamilton win the 100th Grand Prix of his career today? He's on pole, and has won at the Hungaroring seven times in the past.

Ocon's first win! Probably so excited didn't realize where he had to go or got caught up in the moment. Good for him. It's now summer break so lots of time to enjoy it.

I seen in the post race press conference Hamilton said he hasn't felt well since last year. But for some reason he seems to have lots of energy when he wins!
Blaming his fight with Covid from a year ago...he did say he was going to write a book about it when his career comes to an end

That sucks, at least he was there to hold off Hamilton from taking the win. Rather see Ocon win one while Hamilton needs to wait a month until he has his chance to win his 100th race.Vettel officially disqualified.

Aston Martin’s Sebastian Vettel has lost his second-place finish and been disqualified from the results of the Hungarian Grand Prix after race officials were unable to take the required fuel sample from his car following the race.
It sucks that Vettel got the DQ... But it is cut and dried in the Sporting Regulations. You must have enough fuel in the car at the end of the cooldown lap to provide the scrutineers with a 1000ml sample or face disqualification. It's nothing new.
Yes, all teams probably push the limit and have maybe 1100ml by the time they reach parc ferme. In a sport that is measured to the tiniest possible fractions I cannot believe a team did not have a handle on fuel consumption/remaining. The team got it wrong. Maybe they took the risk to get the position and finish on the track and it backfired on them.
Yes it sucks, but F1 is a team sport. The money is paid out on team results not driver results. The driver is a part and employee of the team. Win as a team, loose as a team.
Loved watching the Alonso / Hamilton battle in the later laps.

100% agree on all points, I would add they probably used more fuel by chasing Ocon the entire race and there was no full course yellow or safety car after the red flag where they could have saved a little fuel.
Scoring even one point is VERY important to the lower tier teams who have zero chance of winning the Driver's or Constructor's championships. It gives them subsidies on travel expenses to the races, which are not offered to the teams that don't crack the top 10 at least once.
