Trump personally will never get charged. He's got too many favors out there .

Weisselberg will flip evidence on Trump. You think Weisselberg is going to jail for Trump? You think Trump will go to jail for you? Trump will throw his kids under the bus, to save himself.

He hasn't yet and prosecutors don't think he will.
Wonder why.

Ok so he will go to jail for Trump.
The reports are that these first round of charges won't be too serious, I expect they will use them to get more docs and lay the ground for the next round.
Must be pretty tricky trying to nail down the accounting and legal work of that family.

All this is is political retribution. The Trump Organization would be wise to GTFO of that pariah state. Like many other companies are doing.

I'm inclined to agree with you about the charges. Not about the favours. I think Trump was smart enough to be able to not have his name attached to any fraudulent documents, so he might avoid prosecution.

I read on another site that what could potentially happen is Weissberg could be forced to testify. Under the Trump Organizations employment agreements, they will cover legal expenses. However, some see this could be construed as bribery to not testify against the Trumps. The idea being that if Weissberg had to pay out of his own pocket to defend himself, he would probably couldn't afford it for long, and would be more willing to accept a plea and testify. So, the prosecution could have the court waive this expense, since it could obstruct justice.

Just look at what happened to Michael Cohen. His legal bills were covered until he flipped on Trump, and he faced a stiff legal bill.

Regardless, I do not think this is political retribution. I mean, not directly. A lot of serious allegations about fraud and tax evasion came out of solid reporting during Trump's term. You can't blame a DA from seeing a potential case and launching an investigation. I mean, if they let it stand, than that would be seen as if Trump and his crew were above the law.

Now, all that being said, who can say how successful they will be in making charges stick.

The big charges are likely to be bank fraud based on different values given to banks, insurance and the IRS for properties.
The question is whether they have the evidence for that now or if they have to charge some more lower fish to get them to turn, isn't it? Benefits not claimed for the underlings?
That's what Cohen accused the chosen one of doing when he turned, but proving that with the docs must be massively challenging.

Maybe. But if they showed the bankers one set of documents and the tax agencies (state and federal) others, each would likely have copies, and hence, evidence of fraudulent activity...

You'd think, but I'm sure they had clauses in those papers to include or exclude things to justify different valuations.
I doubt they'd be so dumb as to make it that easy.

I don't know how popular the guy really is, other than his base.
Also... there are a lot of Ambitious Republicans with their eyes on 2024. They will continue to ride out the Big Lie narrative as means to make voters believe the Democrats are dirty... and once the primary's start, the knives will come out.

Invest in popcorn makers.... 2023 is going to be entertaining.

The question is will the true believers vote at all, since they believe the election is fixed.

Q will conveniently change the message at the appropriate time. The sheep might be dumb as fuck... but that Sheppard figured some shit out.
