The Evidence of Trump’s Pandemic Sabotage Keeps Piling Up

As I've mentioned in other threads, Donald Trump's handling of Covid led to the unnecessary death of hundreds of thousands of Americans (and possible up here as well since we have idiots who listen to him). Some of the things mentioned in this article I had forgotten about, and others are new. Basically, for those who don't want to read it, Trump downplayed the virus (as we all know), his administration blocked the shipment of medical masks to every American because it would've looked bad, and he didn't want expanded testing because the infected rate would go up...

I honestly believe that if he showed strong leadership during this crisis and fought tooth and nail to contain it, he probably would've won re-election.

I think so too but Trump is a psycho. He has absolutely no humanity in him. There is no way he would have fought this. All it matters for him is him. Still to this day he never showed any empathy for all those who died. It took Bidden to do so.

The funniest thing he said about Covid was " If we do fewer tests we will have fewer cases" . Really! How fucked up is that?
My quote was a little off but here is the article on his stupidity.

As he did with his taxes. He tough if I don't report any I won't pay any. I am a genius!!
A while back I saw a parked car with a ticket on it. So, being the nice guy that I am, I took it off his windshield and ripped it up. That way he wouldn't have to pay it because he himself never got it.

I know people want to say that it COVID-19 was engineered by China and the only way to explain Trump's behavior is that he is a Chinese agent because no US President would fail a national security test so completely otherwise, but that seems unfair.

I am reminded of this gem.

And they say Trump is good for nothing.

I don't buy that at all. I think the likeliest reason was he felt the virus would screw up the amazing bull market he inherited from Obama (which it did), so he downplayed or minimized the government's response. I mean, he didn't want any lockdowns, even in places where the virus was killing thousands (like NYC). I will agree that he failed this test miserably, but I don't think for a second it was because he was a Chinese mole.

Bottomline: If almost anyone else was President a year and a bit ago, the death toll from Covid would not be over 600K. Thousands would likely still die, but not hundreds of thousands. I should also say that the right-wing media (Fox, OAN, Newsmax, Daily Caller etc, ) share a lot of this blame by amplifying messages from covid deniers, anti-mask morons and now anti-vaxxers. If Trump and Fox told Americans to stay home and wear a mask, the pandemic would have been less costly in terms of the number of dead...

If you think Donato is bad, take a trip to Brazil!
Yeah, that makes Trump look good by comparison. Bolsoaro is just horrible, and was bad even before the pandemic. If things keep going the way they are, I wouldn't be shocked if they threw him out of office.

Neither do I, but it is a reasonable inference if you believe the "Chinese bioweapon" theory.
