Interesting. A few people and a few less reputable websites have made this claim in the past.
There even are "fact checkers" who claim it is false.

But then noone seems willing to acknowledge actual medical papers and actual medical doctors who claim just that

Viruses mutating is nothing new. Whether the covid virus will mutate in direct response to the vaccine is speculation.

What is not speculation is that the strain of covid that is already here has caused millions of deaths and without a vaccine would have continued to cause millions more.

In the meantime, if the whole pandemic is a hoax, as you've been arguing, how can a hoax mutate? Why are you so concerned about a possible mutation when you were fluffing off the original virus as being overblown.

One reason to get vaccinated is every time the virus replicates you have a chance for a mutation. Many mutations are harmless, but some are not. Yes, true, if one mutation renders the virus resistant to the antibodies created by the current vaccine, it will become the predominant form of the virus and spread far and wide.

Tj is trying hard to get the word out from the denier camp to not take the vaccine but nobody is listening. It boggles my mind that folks fluff off folks like TJ and his quackery of so-called experts.

I don't know TJ buddy, pal, friend. I suggest you wear a bright yellow duck outfit and strap on a big billboard that says DO NOT GET THE JAB, stand at Yonge and Bloor and see if that works out any better for you.

One last point, the mutations are happening among the unwashed, unvaccinated dumbasses but that's just something floating around in my head, carry on with the mission. QUACK QUACK

The reason there are so many variants is that the virus was allowed to run amuck without and measures to control it. That's why the first ones came in Brazil and the UK, and now India. I'm shocked there wasn't one in the southern US or Sweden. This is why we need to vaccinate or isolate those who get the disease.

You didn't read those reports that you posted did you? What you are implying and what the reports conclude are two different things. Then again, I expect that from you.

A virus is like a human it wants to survive. That's why longer term mutation are often much less severe. Covid will most probably turned into an annual influenza virus. Each year you'll get your vaccine boost which will be more or less effective (range of 45% to 80).

I always put it at 50/50 that he didn't read or that he read and didn't understand.

That's not really a given, though. The whole "mutate to be less severe" thing is only a pressure in that you need to not kill your host before you move on to a new one. A virus with a good, long pre-symptomatic period that then killed you after spreading would have no pressure to get less virulent. I don't think Ebola has been mutating towards lower lethality, for instance.
