PS: I don't mean to offend anyone, I am only asking since you guys give insightful answers.I also ask since I write essays about these topics.

In certains parts of the English speaking world you face a "double whammy." On one hand, you have the "Purity Culture" crowd where any sex before marriage is sinful and wrong. On the other hand, you have many of these so-called progressives who don't like sex or see it with suspicion. I don't know if all "Progressives" however, I do believes there's a mainstream strand of "left-wing progressives" who seem to hold all these beliefs. For instance, I was talking with some of them who believe that:

1-Goverment should ban all pornography as it only benefits the "male gaze" and its inherited exploitative of women
2-All forms of escorting/sugardating are exploitation.
3-Men are abusers and women are abused.
4-Men who travel abroad are "evil" sex tourists.
5-Any form of sex works is inseparable with coercion or exploitation.

I don't know your stance on Ron Jeremy, however, I was watching a video from some European porn stars who knew him and they said the while he "touchy" he did not seem like a bad guy. After all he is playing a character in the conventions its part of the 'act"While some people in California(where many progressive) where saying, "Punish Ron Jeremy he didn't have the affirmative consent touch the actress' waist.'

Because they are very uncomfortable with sex.

Let's face it, being good in the sack is not easy for a lot of prissy uptight people. There's the close proximity to another person, the exchange of bodily fluids, the smells, the noises, the sweat, the loss of control, the spreading of legs. You need to be able to put your face where many people simply can't give up control enough to do it. It takes commitment to suck a cock or to suck a pussy.

It's like camping. A huge number of fuss pots simply can't camp because they are too refined and too uptight.

So these individuals take it upon themselves to force their morals on everyone else. It's never been any different. Oh, they wrap it up in safe sex and consent and they take it to extremes, blah blah blah. But bottom line is that they just don't like sex, they are no good at sex. Even if they have sex, they aren't any good at it because they simply can't give up control and you can tell that it's forced from their end. Deep down, they'd rather not. And they want to be part of the norm, so they want to force their outlook on everyone else.

The funny thing about so called "progressives" (I call them "the new puritans") on the left is that they really aren't that different from the right wing bible thumpers. In fact, they are a lot alike. Those on the hard left run smack dab into the hard right going the other way. They both want to tell you how to live your life. Why? Because they themselves are not comfortable with your life.

What James said. Lots of women aren't into sex. It's just a way to get a husband and make a couple of kids. And when Daddy starts looking at porn or escort ads, they need something stronger than "That makes me really insecure!" to throw at him - ergo "male exploitation." - Which I guess it is, if you're a woman who thinks all sex is yucky and Daddy should be out helping you plant that rose border in the garden before your folks come over for English tea and instead he's jerking off to Elsa Jean videos.

Take that basic impulse, add a whole superstructure of bullshit political theory about women being oppressed, create a few tenure track positions in feminist studies departments and you've created a "bold alternative point of view" and a patronage system which ensures that the crap keeps on flowing.

The only anti-sex progressives known to me are those who
have found Jesus. The "Progressives" in the OP are not necessarily
anti-sex. They just have a different take on what passes as exploitation
of women.

I'm not sure who you are talking about exactly, but most progressives are pro-sex work. I'm also pretty sure most sex-workers are left leaning.

In academia the scope goes far beyond exclusive gender studies depts. Radical feminist perspectives find their way into everything from finance to law enforcement courses.

I don't think even the most brazen "feminist" takes SB seriously these days. I certainly hope not. She was one sorely fucked up man-hating bitch!

Progressivism is a religion like any other with its own dogma and rituals. Sexual liberation was a taboo subject in the "socialist" countries of the Soviet empire as well. Prostitution was strictly punished as were any other forms of sexuality that deviated from what was considered "normal". I'm not even sure if the actual act of prostitution is what the progressives object the most. I think it's the money part. Prostitution is one of the last, true bastions of capitalism. It is heartless, darwinian, self regulating and sustaining, and wholly outside of the control of not only the law enforcement, but even the taxation systems.

Did all the man hating cause this?
Or did Men induce all that stress?
The only way to be sure would be a double blind study against somebody of the same age who has had a life time of gobbling cock. sophia loren.jpg
