No, Israel is not a settler colonial state, and here's why

I'm not playing your antisemite games. There was no fighting and no fighters in the East Jerusalem after the Jordanian take over.
its just not on your playbook to be honest, is it?

“On May 25, 1948, during the battle for the Old City, commander of the Jordanian Arab Legion, Major Abdullah el-Tell, wrote to Otto Lehner of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to warn that unless the Haganah abandoned its positions in the synagogue and its adjoining courtyard, he would be forced to attack it. Moshe Russnak, commander of the Haganah in the Old City, ignored his request, knowing that if the Hurva fell, the battle for the Jewish Quarter would soon be lost.[49] On May 26, 1948, the Jordanian Arab Legion delivered an ultimatum to the Jews to surrender within 12 hours; otherwise the Hurva would be bombarded.[50]

Tsk, tsk….using a religious building as a military position.

Speaking of evading, why are you not wanting to discuss that Jordan forced every Jew out of territory they conquered at gunpoint? it is worth mentioning that the British led Jordanian army did make some effort to protect captured Jews from Arab militias when they captured 'settlements' but it was absolutely an ethnic cleansing.

We can also discuss how Jordan gave citizenship to West Bank Arabs before revoking it after the PLO went after Jordan's foreign leadership.

Obviously the war in 1948/49 was a nasty conflict but it is dumb to not admit that there were problems on both sides.
I certainly agree and that’s why I responded to Jcpro’s “woe is me” tale that whitewashed the use by the Jewish terrorist group, the Haganah, of civilian and religious structures to hide in.

But you’ve also glossed over the razing of the entire Moroccan Quarter by Israel within two weeks of taking control of Jerusalem so they could have Passover celebrations.

Whatabout Haganah?

Haganah was not a terror group but Israel's proto-military. There were groups that left Haganah that were terrorists though. It's pretty strange that you are so upset Israel troops were defending their homes from inside their homes while at the same time arguing that Israel hitting Hamas sites is a war crime. It is also convenient that you ignore the intentional defiling of Jewish sites that Jordan conquered after they killed or chased off all the Jews.

And it seems you still ignore the actual ethnic cleansing where every Jew in land Jordan took from the Palestinians was evicted at gunpoint even though Jews were the largest group in the Old City from before the word Zionism was invented.

Fortunately I didn’t make any of those statements. I gather that you now concede that the terrorist group, the Haganah, were using human shields since you are trying to equate this with Hamas.

But why the silence on the Moroccan Quarter?

I gather that you aren't able to read what people posted.

It's amazing how many excuses you make for Palestinians when they do wrong but make idiotic accusations about Israel its Jews to try and justify your hatreds.

Why the silence on the Moroccan Quarter? Why no condemnation of the Jewish terrorist group, the Haganah, for using human shields by hiding in civilian buildings and a synagogue?

So much for your oft repeated claims of condemning the behaviour and not the ethnicity. Everything seems to be based on ethnicity for you.

Do you know why you don't want to address my post even though it clearly states- after the Jordanian takeover, meaning after the War of Independence? Because Jordan committed every crime, including the ethnic cleansing, that you accuse Israel of committing. Jordan could have created a Palestinian state with a stroke of the pen. But, it didn't, did it? And did the "Palestinians" complain about not having their own country under Jordan? No, of course not because "Palestinian statehood" is a fraud designed to be used as a weapon against the Jewish State by the antisemites.

Doesn't matter who's ancestral land it was! If the native's formed a nation today and got foreign support to disposes Canadians of their land and annex it to their own country while making you second class citizens you would call them settlers. More than that, international law calls them settlers and they avoided prosecution by sheer bullying. It should scare you because one day we might be on the receiving end of this kind of injustice and we can't even rely on the law to make it right
The "international law" doesn't consider Taiwan a country. The "international law" rubber stamped the ethnic cleansing of the millions of Germans out of East Prussia, Pomerania, Silesia (upper AND lower). To put it politely- you can wipe your ass with the "internationally law" as it represents interests not justice.

The question that you don’t want to address is the ones that have been posed to you many times. Did the Jewish terrorist group, the Haganah, use civilian structures to hide in and did the use synagogues as military posts?

If you want to talk about what the Jordanians did in the aftermath of Israel’s land grabs, I will….but you have to be honest about what Israel did to the Moroccan Quarter.

None of this, poor us….everyone is bad to us drivel.

My original post on this subject addressed the "Territories" post War of Independence and I'm not playing your hateful games.

If telling the truth is hateful, then that explains why throw around the antisemitism so frequently.

It’s a little too late to say only want to talk about after Israel stopped its 1948 land grabs. You made a large number of inaccurate statements that were easily disproven. It was your “poor us, we’ve been wronged” trope. The facts are that civilian areas of the Jewish Quarter were destroyed as a result of the Jewish terrorist group, the Haganah, hiding in civilian structures and using synagogues as military positions.

What happened to the Moroccan Quarter after Israeli troops took control? Is that a hateful truth to you too?

It’s not a good article.
Key points,
1. Israel settled lands they acquired through war, but they didn’t start the war therefore it’s ok, that isn’t colonialism.
2. Many neighbor Arab countries expelled jews in protest
3. Isreali’s make the Palestinian territory so much better than the Muslim do. They built greenhouses but the Palestinians didn’t maintain them.

ROTFLMFAO!!! Truthfully? After winning the war Israel cleared a few slums to allow access to the Western Wall in 1967. Nothing to do with the Jordanian aggression in 1948. What's next; you'll start crying about the Golan sheep herders?

So, exactly what the Jordanians did. Just cleared some slums, right? What are you whining about?

is this your idea of clearing a few slums?

Jewish holy sites were damaged and sometimes destroyed.[4] According to Raphael Israeli, 58 synagogues were desecrated or demolished in the Old City, resulting in the de-Judaization of Jerusalem.[5][6][7] Oesterreicher, a Christian clergyman and scholar, wrote, “During Jordanian rule, 34 out of the Old City’s 35 synagogues were dynamited.” [8] The Western Wall was transformed into an exclusively Muslim holy site associated with al-Buraq.[9] 38,000 Jewish graves in the ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives were systematically destroyed (used as pavement and latrines),[10][11] and Jews were not allowed to be buried there.

According to Jcpro, when the same thing happened to the Moroccan Quarter it was just clearing a few slums. Why so outraged?

I have no idea what he said. What I do know is you characterized the Jordanian action as clearing a few slums. But of course as the king of whataboutism you cannot criticize anything which is directed against Israel or Jews.
