I predicted the Habs would get easily swept in this series.....Man was I wrong.
The Muzzin injury only hurts the Leafs chances even more.
Care Price looks exactly as billed. Haven't see this version of him in a while.
You are far from being the only person who predicted a Leafs sweep. I wonder how Craig Button is feeling these days about his statement that basically Habs did not even belong on the same ice as the Maple Leafs. I am a Habs fan and I thought they would be fortunate to win 2 games.

Price will never again be the goalie he once was - but he has been closer to the old Price than we have seen in a while. The Leafs have had key injuries - the uncertainty of the severity of Tavares's injury distracted them in Game 1, and the absence of his solid two way game has hurt them in every game since.
I am not sure if Hyman is 100%, and Foligno when he is not hurt has not done anything special that I can see. If Muzzin can't play in Game 7 that is a huge hole in the Leaf's defense.

But maybe the biggest issue is Matthews and Marner. Marner's game really does not seem to be suited for a grinding playoff style.
Matthews has played very well overall but has not gotten a lot of the high quality clean looks he usually scores on. The Leafs overall still don't seem to have a true killer instinct.

Game 7 is a coin toss - but it seems to me that the pressure is more on the Leafs to avoid another year of playoff futility than it is on the Habs who have played better than expected.
The game will be a true test of the Leaf's character - not that it really matters as in my opinion they don't have a hope in hell of actually winning the Cup this year.

Button talks about being forced to eat a lot of crow if the Habs win this series, lol.......BTW that's some nice nipples peering through that shirt of the interviewer I see......

is a while nine months?
You saw this version of him last year against Pittsburgh in the playoffs. Overall he had a 1.78 GAA in the 2020 playoffs.

Habs better be ready for the Jets to come out with bruising body checks, the Jets are well-rested.

Round 2 Jets vs Habs. I'm sure CBC/Sportsnet got their dream matchup they wanted for their ratings.

Long years of Jedi teaching experience has taught me not to get too excited and prepare for disappointment.
It has also taught me to avoid the sun or 1200 you will look when you are 800 yes.

A part of me hopes the Habs win the cup this year, so I can justify that the Leafs lost to the Stanley Cup champs. But I can justify that the Leafs lost to HHOF Carey Price.

On a side note, 2 weeks ago, Hab fans wanted Bergevin fired and time and time again wanted Price out of Montreal when things weren't going so well. Leafs would take Price in a heartbeat.

I still want Bergevin out of town. That is one of the only issues with the win last night. Might earn him an extension.

Jake Evans had his head down for EN goal and Scheifele went headhunting. I think Scheifele is gone for the series. Hits to the head are illegal in the NHL. But someone here will defend Scheifele.

It won't be me - that's for sure. I have not seen a slow motion replay to see if the hit was high - but it sure was late and from the blindside. Will be reviewed by the league without a doubt.

I don't think I have ever seen Shea Weber that angry. Scheifele may be hoping that he will be suspended for the rest of the series as Weber is likely to beat the crap out of him if he isn't.

He definitely should be suspended the rest of the series, he was losing his mind the whole game, Scheifele seems to have a mental problem. that was intent to injure, just brutal. if he does come back god help him. he will have a bulls eye on his back...apart from that, habs played great,, go habs go..

Well he does have an imaginary friend that is into torture.

"Scheifele is a practising Christian and gathers with teammates Adam Lowry, Josh Morrissey, and Tucker Poolman to pray and talk.[73] When speaking of his faith, Scheifele said: "I take the role I play in the community here as a Christian very seriously."

I am a soccer fan. I used to thrive by hockey and was a big fan.

Once i saw David Savard of the Bruins (a team i hated!!) got so cheaply hit it ended his career. Almost is life.

i kind of quit then.

I still watch and follow the game but without compassion. I was happy to see my team (the habs) beat the Leafs but did not celebrated much.

Hockey is too brutal for me.

I prefer soccer which is the only world sport. Yes soccer player fake hit and play comedy to attract penalty yet they don't deliberately try to hit a player to the head just to pass a fucking message that game next is ours...

hockey as to change to get me back.

Cheers,

Hockey should be more like this

Goblins with chainsaws embiggen any game in a most cromulent way.
