Being honest here, but watching the playoffs so far, I don't see the Leafs making it past teams like Bos, Wash, Pit, Col, Vegas, TB, or FLA to win a Cup this year. The more I watch, I don't even see them making it out of the 3rd round. JMHO.

Without regular season games against those teams it is so hard to judge. For what it is worth I think that the Leafs could match up well against Boston, Washington, Pittsburgh, Florida, and maybe even Vegas.

Only a couple of games but from what I have seen so far of Colorado and Tampa Bay I not sure the Leafs have the overall game to handle the Avalanche's skill and team speed or Tampa's talent and experience gained in last year's Cup win.

But who knows maybe this is the Leafs year??

If they get past the 3rd round they only have to get past one of those teams...and that’s if Bos/Wash can get past Pittsburgh.

Also, the more you watch you must realize that Toronto hasn’t played a playoff game...

Its been 43 years since these 2 teams have not met in the playoffs!! Good lord Lafleur was playing back then!

I am a Habs fan because I am from Quebec. But I do have to admit the Leafs deserves the cup!

I take it you were a Matt Cooke fan.
No, I think Matt cook was much dirtier then kadri.

The hit last night that kadri dished out was no different then when Scott Stevens hit lindros. If your going to cut across the centre of the ice with your head down, you better know you might get knocked the fuck out.

When Stevens hit Eric Lindros, that was a legal, though dangerous, brutal hockey hit.

If you're going to cut across the centre of the ice with your head down, you better know you're susceptible to an illegal, dangerous, dirty hit, and might get knocked out.

There, fixed that for you.

Except that didn't happen...Faulk was not cutting across the ice, he was skating in a straight line and took a drop pass.

sure was. guy in a vulnerable position. kadri decent player, but like tom wilson goes looking for thisstuff, IMHO. 2-3 GAMES MINIMUM.
Kadri will have an in person hearing, that usually means at least 5 games.

What play are you watching?
He wasn't coming across the centre of the ice, he was skating directly towards the net.
Secondly, he didn't have his head down, Kadri actually came up with his shoulder to make contact.

Before the series I feel I should give some compliments and thanks to the Leafs.

The fact that Montreal has not been in the Stanley cup in 28 years is sad and embarassing. But thanks to the Leafs who will always give me something to deflect off that topic — 1967

Don't lower yourself with that lame, worn out Habs fan humour, I appreciate your insights otherwise.

I’m thinking the same, I think the North division was overall kind of weak. I give you that it’s difficult to judge because of the bubble, but watching Boston, Washington, Tampa and Vegas, I’m convinced IF the Leafs make it to round three, they will get spanked.

I will just say that for a team who is supposed to represent the epitome of winning and a winning culture, you're setting the bar pretty low if you need the Leafs to lift your spirits.

I fear that’s a season ending injury to Tavares :(

Pray that it’s not a career ender 🤞🏼
