The only way the Habs can upset the Leafs is their goaltending badly outplays the Leafs’. I like Campbell because he seems genuinely like a humble and classy guy. He has had a great regular season but can he play well in the playoffs? Leafs’ defence is better than previous years’ but is still vulnerable to turn overs and odd men rushes. Campbell will be tested.

I thought he often showed too much emotions in interviews. The great playoff goaltenders I’ve watched over the years all seemed to have a much cooler demeanour and would never show as much emotions. Sparks was the same way and we know how things turned out for him in the NHL. Let’s hope that Campbell has the mental toughness to deal with the pressure of tending goal in the NHL playoffs.

Yes, the Scabs will try to grind and rough it up...they’ll take a bunch of penalties and Simmonds will say “who wants to go” and that’ll take care of that.
seriously, you think simmonds is that tough?? not a lot of tough guys on habs, but anderson or weber will give him a go if he wants it. he was a decent player 5-8 years ago, not now.

Yes I do think Simmonds is tough, one of the toughest...and I don't think either Josh Anderson or Shea Weber will fight him, Anderson will get his head beat in and Weber needs to stay on the ice and not in the penalty box.

With today's move, Toronto is not only guaranteed to beat Montreal, but should be considered cup favourites.

The Leafs have recalled Marincin from the AHL. The final piece in the puzzle.

Go Leafs Go.

He beat up Chiarot the last time they fought and had a decision win over Tom Wilson a few years ago. He’s a pretty slim guy and not huge by NHL standard but pound for pound one of the toughest.

This is where Andersen's experience comes in. Good to have him back in case Campbell has a bad game.

So Andersen's playoff experience with the Leafs that I could find were :
25 games played - lost 14 won 10.
Playoff series won with the Leafs - Zero.
A playoff history of letting in soft goals at critical times

Just curious is that the Andersen experience you are counting on?

VS no playoff experience in Campbell and far better than Rittich and Hutchison for the backup role. It doesn't hurt to have Andersen as backup. Don't be surprised if Andersen gets to see some action.

Last time I checked Carey Price does not play for Toronto - so your point is??

How about posting some more about who is playing tonight and what the scores are in the games - riveting stuff.
I posted in the NHL playoffs section. The Leafs defense is far better this year. Price may be second-guessing his abilities or just frustration, just saying.

Big upset coming, Habs in 7,, Habs will grind it out and wear down the leafs, Price returns to form.. Leafs choke again in the first round....
No Cole Caulfield who has been a Leaf killer as of late. Wonder if they are going to need his scoring?

Looks like Bogo and Sandin are playing game 1 and Dermott the odd man out. The Leafs defensive depth chart: Dermott, Hutton, Marincin.

Go Leafs Go.
I'd take Timothy Liljegren over Marincin.

... Personally I didn't see anything wrong with the hit.
Why would you see anything wrong?
It's not your brain.

Faulk did not possess the puck.
Kadri targeted the head.

That was an ugly, nasty hit.
