New Zealand were far better than Australia in tackling the Pandemic thanks to Ardern .

They have even paused the flights from Western Australia due to the recent rise in Covid-19 cases in that region!!

I think the lefties will say what Australia and NZ did/doing is a gross violation of the human rights of actual and possible COVID carriers.

I have said it all a long, our government should have shut all incoming or outgoing to Canada other than essential truck drivers delivering food in to Canada. No one should be traveling right now. With the fuckn pandemic going on in India, I see fuckn idiots wanting to go back and see the extended family. Sure, bring in more viruses here.

The flight ban should stop them coming back. I saw one Canadian citizen/resident say he is stranded in India because there's no flight back. Not sure if he could board a ship. Doubt he can walk or swim back.

I have outlined the way it could be done to still allow goods to enter and leave the country without allowing people to enter.
Have said this for a while, no one enters for any reason at any time anywhere, period.
You are welcome to leave, but don't plan on returning anytime soon.
Currently you can still enter from India as long as your flight was not direct.
Also if you have a Canadian passport you can fly from Mumbai to Germany then Buffalo and cross the border and avoid mandatory quarantine hotel orders, but still do a self quarantine at home, which if only one infected person breaks, spreads the Indian variant.
So this travel ban is a hollow political move that does little.
Kind of like saying "Look at me everyone I closed the front door on the barn that goes to the fenced in yard so the horse wouldn't get out."
Meanwhile the back door of the barn, that no one can see, is wide open to the whole country.

That’s why every countries in the world should ban any flights leaving India. Fix your fuckn problems first by getting the Covid-19 under control. Look at Wuhan at the beginning, no one leaves or enter Wuhan. The government shut everything down with Wuhan, otherwise with the population in China. Can you imagine spreading it thru out China? Just like what is happening in India now.

The USA is starting a travel ban for any person(some exceptions) that has travelled to India in the last 14 days. This starts May 4/21.

Ardern seems to be taking a more careful approach to this issue than Scott Morrison. Her deputy has referred to New Zealand's bill of rights and suggested flexibility on this issue.
In the meantime, Australia doesn't have a bill of rights, so it's probably easier for him to apply hard measures to a crisis.
