I've seen barber & hair salons in BC being open for months now. Where are they closed? Still i do DIY as i have for years. Why expose oneself with more deadly VOC running around looking for victims.

A year ago I would have never expected it to not only still be here, but worse than ever.

First off I agree NO NONE NADA non essential flights from any country should be allowed in or out period, full stop! The vaccines work, perhaps a few boosters here and there to address the variants. Get your jab, wear your mask and social distance so you can help get it under control and end it instead of spewing out nonsense and bullshit to try and inspire gullible folks into believing its just a flu and open it up.
The experts I trust say 80% of the population needs to be vaccinated for us to restore order...as the vaccination population increases more restrictions will be gradually lifted.
Our barbers and hair salons have been closed in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) since November 2020. Other parts of Ontario they were only shut down only a few weeks ago with the most recent "stay-at-home" order restrictions.
we got 20 % already done in ontario
looks like 20 % every month at the 100k per day rate predicted but that could easily change
so 3 more months until 80 % according to my math

Was reading the most recent study I could find on antibody duration in covid cases and found that the thing about people who have had covid and possess the antibodies is that for people who were asymptomatic their antibodies seem to start to decline at about 35 days and within 2 to 3 months have been found to be totally absent.
For people with mild to severe symptoms antibodies seemed to start decreasing at 3 weeks and depleted or absent at 6 months.
So immunity from infection lasts less time than the vaccine which if I recall was still around 90% effective after 6 months.

Biden has promised Trudeau, via a phone call, vaccine as soon as they vaccine their own
he did not say when but he also said he will supply central america so I do not think he would put us ahead of them
as their need is so dire as well as brazil
it looks like north and south america will get their help before the rest of the world

we should be making our own vaccine then supply the world once we got our own done which should of be done by now
