Immune system > vaccine
Bullshit. They are totally different things.

A vaccine enhances the immune system. It makes it better. Like tuning up an engine will make it run better. Like adding vitamins and minerals to certain foods make them more nutritious. Like giving you a brain will (more realistically, might) make you smarter.

I will, but I’m slightly nervous because I have had an anaphylactic response to a couple things. But I think none the less I’ll get the vaccine.
A female friend of mine is in the same situation as you.

She told me that Pfizer has advised against getting their vaccine because of this.

She has decided to not get vaccinated as a result. Her friends, not me, have told her that if she has a reaction there would be qualified medical people right there to take care of her.

Her response is that sounds reasonable to anyone who hasn't had a anaphylactic event but if you've ever had a severe one you wouldn't be so flippant. It's about as close to the feeling of drowning that you can get.

There must have been at least 10 EMS overseeing things in just the recovery area last night.

These are not vaccines.

I think the idea is that the stronger your immune system is better off you are going to able to ward off virus' and pathogens.

The people with the weakest immune systems seem to be the ones that have metabolic syndrome or pre diabetes, Unfortunately it is estimated that in the U.S. alone depending on who you're listening to that could be up to 60% of the population. Those groups being economically disadvantaged and racialized being even higher.

So in reality the message to manage your macronutrient and micro nutrient intake to achieve optimal health and thus develop your immune response to it's fullest should have been part of the message delivered from the beginning. That of course coupled with fresh air and exercise.

A doctor once said to me that if his patients were willing to make dietary and exercise changes he probably would hardly have to write a prescription. But sadly the general populace won't.

Yes I know but those that have lived through a severe anaphylactic response are generally terrified of another episode.

And like I said she told me Pfizer had advised against them getting the vaccine because of this possibility.

The woman I mentioned although not a practicing nurse now has her nursing degree so she has some experience with this.

I believe her reluctance is valid.

That's the kind of thing I find (sadly) very human; people seem more worried that they might need a dose of epinephrine and stay in the hospital for a few hours than they are of getting covid or passing it on to someone important in their lives.

That said, her reasoning is far more sane and based in reality than the guy here who pretends there is no virus and believes it's a forced sterilization plan.

No real argument with anything you say.

Regardless, my point was that however strong or weak your immune system is, getting a vaccine to give you immunity to an antigen that you did not previously have, means that you have enhanced your immune system.

sp's comment saying that having an immune system is more important than a vaccine is like saying that water is wet. A vaccine does not replace the immune system. It enhances it.

Pfizer may lead to an allergic reaction if you are allergic to Miralax. I have several folks within my inner circle who would have an anaphylactic attack if they consume nuts and the other is shellfish. One has had the Moderna and the other Pfizer with no issues at all. Yes, they were both a tad nervous and stuck around more than the customary 15 minutes.

Thankfully the vaccine is making it milder. 😂
Can you say whether it is the pneumonia or COVId causing his breathing issues? Nope you can’t.

Did you even know he had pneumonia or did you just fall for the click bait?

Johnson and Johnson I believe is 62% efficacy and 92% on serious illness and death. He may have been one of the unlucky ones.

That is true as well. It is the least protective of all the vaccines.

It is the pneumonia that gets me in the article. That could easily put him in oxygen alone.

So millions of people got vaccinated and the venerable New York post found one guy for whom it maybe didn’t work.
Seems like a good proof that vaccination is useless. Guess I’m gonna cancel my appointment.

Its comical and sad how he scrubs bullshit sites and any news he can find anything against the vaccines, lockdowns and any safety mandates.

The only thing that would please these selfish "humans" is to pretend it doesn't exist and let it run rampant. You live or die it doesn't matter, the strong shall survive.

No vaccines, no lockdowns, no masks and party on.

On a semi related note it is also sad that the “conservatives” have firmly adopted the deplorables as their base and now they have to continue peddling all kinds of insane conspiracy theories which further fuck up feeble minds of their supporters.
