There are exactly 387 people in ICU, 249 of those 387 require ventilators
In a province of 15 million

lol this is barely a percentage point
I think its safe to assume Ford failed math in high school

Yet you are obsessed that 15 people out of 2.7 million who got AstraZeneca shots developed deadly blood clots.

p.s. Do you want to continue pretending that ICUs are only for covid? The stats show that province wide ICUs typically un over 80% capacity and in large cities in the 90-95% range.

I use to date a nurse and she was telling me about how healthcare has changed over the last 10 years. All decisions are based on historical data.

For example if you had 10 car accidents that required ICU care in 2010 based on a population of 3million and in 2020 we have a population of 3.3million. Therefore we should expect to have qty 11 car accidents that require ICU care... Because of the 10% increase in population.

As a result healthcare reserves qty 11 beds in ICU for car related accidents even though they may or may not occur..

They could use these bids in ICU for covid related incidents but cant/wont because they have to be prepared and allocated for the unknown.

The system is flawed
I would suggest your understanding (or hers) is incorrect. Yes they plan the number of beds based on data but it's not like they keep them roped off for specific types of cases. The only thing that comes close is they will not do elective surgeries unless there is ICU capacity in case things go wrong.

The curve is flattening in Isreal. Back to normal life pretty soon over there. Over here covididiots enjoy the attention the pandemic gives them.

Don't listen to that data. They only achieved it with repeated lockdowns and massive vaccinations. TK assures us that both of those are the wrong thing.

Kids have already been told that tomorrow they need to clean out their lockers. Schools will be closed until September 2021.

Ford often reminds me of an old saying, closing the barn door after the animals are gone.
Always reactive, never proactive, and often negligently slow in reacting.

When you have over 50 schools that have had to shut down, you don`t just wait until you get around to testing more of them.

How long can this buffoon Ford keep on passing the buck?
If Dr. Williams really is so stupid, what does this say about the idiot who keeps him employed?
They don`t even listen to their Science Advisory Table.
They seemingly don`t have any basic common sense.

You mean white which is shutdown. Toronto is already in grey.
I’m hearing grey for the whole province was well. Which I don’t get. Why does Peterborough need to be in the grey when it is in Yellow and doing fine right now.

I don’t get these colour codes.

Apparently all Ontario going grey for 4 weeks starting Saturday.
It's gonna be a smidge weaker lockdown compared to 26 Dec; non essential retail stores will be open at 25% capacity, superstores and convenience stores at 50% capacity. So, it's not that bad.

Still, it's not necessary to lockdown society any further, most of the covidiots now in ICUs are the same 20, 30 and 40 yr olds blatantly socializing and violating health regs thinking they are invincible. We wanted to protect the old folks in LTCs and nursing homes by vaccinating them, job done. I think the risks (of severe outcomes such as deaths) now is much more manageable. The government listens and kowtows too much to non elected Doctors. Enough is enough!

And after 4 weeks the cases don't go down, stay at home order shutdown. Seems like Ford keeps moving the goal posts.

As I told you, people, spring shutdown. It's the only thing they know how to do. The cases will start dropping as the weather gets warmer, of course, just like last year, so by May they'll start reopening. The big question is; are we going to have another lock down in the fall when the flue season hits, again? The cases will continue to linger, naturally, and with our "successful" vaccine roll out Covid will have plenty of time to mutate and thrive.

Toronto and Peel have been in Grey lockdown since Nov 2020. Back then they estimated 4 weeks. Fast forward to April 2021. 20weeks later and Toronto and Peel are still in grey zone with no end in site.
