For the past couple days, there has been a commercial stating that the radio is in receivership and ordered to be sold. As a listener from day one, I am saddened that this station will most likely become corporate bullshit like flow 93.5.
Apparently when the founder of the station died last year, it was uncovered that he was keeping a lot of the revenue for himself without paying bills. He apparently removed his longtime friend and shareholder from the company when he confronted him about the mounting debts, in which he was sued by him. The matter was not resolved due to his stroke. Fitzroy Gordon's (the founder and owner) widow and former friend Delford Blythe were given control of the company by a judge, but they just couldn't manage it.
