If an NHL team thought Rasmus Sandin was going to have a career like Weber, Giordano and Keith they'd trade for him yesterday...at this point, he is playing games in the AHL for the third straight year and couldn't beat out Travis Dermott for a spot.

Go back and look at the Marlies roster when Sandin first started playing there, you'd probably be disappointed at the low number of players who can say they are NHL players.
I would be shocked if Sandin is not Toronto's 5-6 defenseman next season (barring injury/trade).

You’re now putting your “common sense” on display to embarrass yourself even more.

When these great players were playing in the AHL, would you not think that there were many not so great players on their respective teams playing ahead of them at the time ? They played in the AHL because they were deemed not ready. Same for Sandin, he’s just not ready. It’s not to say he won’t make it, or becomes a great player, only time will tell.

Rasmus Sandin turned 21 just 12 days ago.

It may seem he's struggling to acclimate to the pro game.
Not that many defensemen jump straight to the NHL, he'll be fine.

I thought he should have made it this year...back to the original argument, throwing him in with Nylander is not going to land you Brady Tkachuk.

No I didn’t, only I quoted your post before you edited it. Just the same nonsense anyway.
100% lie...I edited it 8 minutes before your post.

Anyway, check the Marlies roster when Sandin first joined...not a lot of NHLers from those draft picks there.

‘The only one lying is you. You’re just trying to throw out more garbage as smoke screen to back out of this embarrassment you put yourself into.

Haha...you better people call these people, they call them AHL prospects too.

I'd call that the proper terminology. No ambiguity.
It's not a big deal...I said he was an AHL prospect because he was playing in the AHL, we were talking about the same guy...he was just pissy and deflecting because I beat down his trade proposal of Brady Tkachuk for Nylander and an AHL prospect...he seems to think that calling him an NHL prospect instead of AHL prospect, even though we are talking about the same player, makes that player seem more valuable...its the same player.

When a team acquires a player playing in the AHL the press release doesn't go "Joe Blow is an NHL prospect playing in the AHL" it goes "Joe Blow is currently playing in the AHL."

He's got a good hockey mind, I think his physical immaturity hindered him.
He was getting physically rattled, once he fills out a bit and adjusts to the pace I think he'll be fine too.
He was drafted as a very young 18.

Sandin and Timothy Liljegren both are young and have a shot.

There are many AHL players who have no shot in making the NHL and there are a few on every team like a Sandin who’s a NHL prospect and has a good chance of making it. An AHL player is not the same as an “NHL PROSPECT PLAYING IN THE AHL”. If you still can’t differentiate between them, well even your fucking God can’t help you.

Tell me this...in your opinion...who is the superior being that decides if a player should be called an “AHL player” or an “NHL prospect playing in the AHL?

Another stupid questions as smoke screen.
Was Pierre Engvall ever called an “NHL prospect”...he’s in his 2nd season.

How about Jeremy Bracco...2nd round pick that some had high hopes, was he ever an “NHL prospect”, regardless, he plays in Switzerland now...they should have packaged him with Nylander before he left.
