How about no more lockdowns but the government should build more hospitals, wth greater ICU capacity, acquire more ventilators and increase the amount of healthcare staff
No more money from the Feds. Stop printing money or we'll pay $500 for a loaf of bread. Keep everything open but everyone has to mask and practice social distancing but people don't want to do that, so we're fucked either way.

Canadian Government spent $81.6 BILLION on CERB (PLUS the other benefits, CRCB, CRB, CRSB etc etc etc)


It costs $80 MILLION to BUILD a NEW HOSPITAL

Governor Andrew Cuomo has warned that New York State is running out of time to get enough ventilators to treat the sickest coronavirus patients. Without them, vastly more New Yorkers could die. But the number of ventilators is not the only bottleneck: hospitals around the country are worried that a surge in COVID-19 patients will catch them short of the staff needed to run the lifesaving machines.

In a typical hospital intensive care unit, one nurse takes care of one or two patients at a time, says Ali Raja, a physician and executive vice chair of emergency medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Before an individual is put on a ventilator, an anesthesiologist or emergency room doctor must intubate, or feed a tube down the throat of, that person. Such patients need to be anesthetized and immobilized during this process to avoid feeling like they are choking, Raja says. Then there are the respiratory therapists—roughly one for every 10 patients—needed to set up the ventilators and routinely check in on the machines, responding if there are any alarms or malfunctions. In addition, a critical care doctor must check in on each patient twice a day

We wasted 80 billion on CERB
If that money was re-routed to health care we could easily hire all the staff required as well as building

Apparently they adjust them twice a day so someone else also needs to make rounds

Old age homes were not the main source of the spread. It has been the risk and prevention ignoring COVIDIOTS, like you, that helped the virus to spread that ended out causing the deaths of the most vulnerable. It was workers at these places that brought the infections into the homes once visitors were barred, which was many months ago.

Throwing money at ONLY the LTC homes would do next to nothing to decrease the number of cases. I know that it's above your comprehension level to comprehend that 1+1=2, that is more cases=more deaths.

Although for shits and giggles care to explain WHY you would need an anesthesiologist to put a critical care ICU patient under???

The entire POINT of a Ventilator is to assist with oxygen; sedating them will slow breathing and most likely (check with Dr) kill them !!!


There also is no "nurse" required...

They use a RT (Respiratory Therapist) instead for these cases

In December we were at 112 cases, then we went to 9 with the lockdown and have been staying low, until now, since last week we have risen to 69 active cases.
Looks like the entire KFLA is going to go either yellow or orange today depending on the number of cases at Queens.
Most of these cases are concentrated among the Queen’s University community, with 55 students and 14 other members making up Thursday’s active cases.
The Queen’s University outbreak originated from one person who travelled and then spread it to students living in Watts Hall, a residence on campus at Queen’s, and then to mostly off-campus contacts.
Some of these off-campus contacts were from 2 student teachers who attended a party, then went to elementary schools in the area, infecting two students in each of two schools so far.
A St Patricks day party with 140 Queens students didn't help much either, the local health unit anticipated gatherings and instituted Section 22 bylaw to limit gatherings and hour for alcohol sales from Friday Mar. 13th at midnight to Sunday Mar, 21st at midnight, so these Queens students held their party on Friday afternoon before the bylaw came into effect, now due to this, the Section 22 order has been extended until the end of the university school year on April 30th.
