Serious question for Covid aficionados.

In all seriousness, to all you guys claiming that the government is listening to scientists and acting on doctors advice. What is the reason for closing barber shops? Is there any evidence that there was an outbreak of the virus at hair salons? Do we have any scientific data backing that up?

At the same time do we have any scientific date or did anybody even bather to look into virus spread at the TTC? I know, I know, essential workers are using TTC to get to work. So we shouldn't even look at it. Is that the reason?

Is it because there was a documented spread of the virus at the barber shops that we are always shutting them down first and opening last. Or is it just because it's an easy target, sort of covid virtue signaling?

You say "in all seriousness" but you just wanna argue and pick on people....
The subject of closing barber shops seems ridiculous to me, I will admit. But maybe because I just missed some scientific data that others here can share.

Not going to pick on anybody, it's sort of an honest question. I say sort of because I do not think there is any scientific data to back up barber closing but I might be wrong.

I think physical distancing might be a problem...

I think it's because at the barbershop you can't really keep the mask on with the elastic band around the ears and all.

My barber was pretty good at that last time I went. He had me keep my mask on all the time and only remove one elastic at a time and hold my mask with my hand when he needed it.

Even before COVID I worried about the guys who were in the chair before me. Also, the cleanliness of the instruments. BTW: I don't sit on public toilet seats either.
BTW 2: Don't overuse the hand sanitizers and soap, you need to "exercise" your immune system.

I would say the TTC is an essential service...
Good point again. But we are at war here and shouldn't there at least be some scientific study as to monitor virus spread at the TTC, even if it is an essential service? Maybe all those lock downs are pointless if the spread of the virus at TTC is bigger than all other places put together.

I think they believe that the close contact nature of it could lead to more chance of infection. Since scientist believe in social distancing, this line of work would go against that. I’m just saying what I think they believe. I can’t actually speak for them to give you an accurate answer.

The TTC does have physical distancing, the best they can do anyway, have sanitizer stations on the platforms, hand out free masks, and clean thoroughly daily.

The other option for the TTC is just to shut it right down...

Do you think that we would view this topic the same way if instead of Covid , we were dealing with a variant of Ebola outbreak with 90% mortality rate?

So you didn’t really want honest answers, you just want fights. You already have your opinion.
