The story never said but I wonder if the pandemic was a factor in the decision.

He should get parole around the same time a regular drunk driver gets it. Some people on this forum hate him because he's rich, but that should have nothing to do with the length of his prison sentence, or when he ought to get his parole

I had to check, but he also pled guilty before trial so at least he accepted some responsibility for what he did. He deserves a little credit for that. He's still an asshole though.

The Muzzo's win on two counts.

He gets full parole and the area where the crash occurred is getting built up. The vigil at the crash site is still being kept.

It's stupid since most of the land is flood plain to begin with, it was kept in check by the small farms that were there. Now that the Teston Rd portion is residential, Kipling Rd gets flooded out. Eventually Mayor Bevilaqua will pay for being in the pocket of developers.

I don't hate him because he is rich, I hate him for his arrogance and what he did.
The courts don't help when they have never taken DUI's causing death seriously and probably never will.

Guys I hate to break it to you, but laws are based on ethics, and ethics are based on what society believes is right and wrong.

The outcome of his mistake was horrible, but 10 of thousands of people (if not more), do this every day. He just happened to be one of the people where the action ending up having harsh consequences. The reality is, you can't keep him in jail for life. Impaired driving law is the most complex law in our society. He's basically been in jail since 2015 when the accident happened. It's been 6 years. There are people who have done far worse things (as far intent is concerned), that have gotten lighter sentences. Karla Homolka did 12 years for murdering 3 people for fuck sake. Don't get this confused, I'm not sympathetic for Muzzo, but you have to look at the case objectively.

The reality is, there's a much bigger problem that we keep hoping a few spot checks will fix and it just won't. Every fucking car should have a breathalyzer or they start thinking of a better way to tackle the problem. I don't know what the answer is, but fucking ride program is not the answer.

He had the best defense that money can buy but in the end he didn`t get any special treatment in terms of sentence and parole.
The law is what it is.

Yeah he pled guilty. Of course they had him absolutely no basis to fight the charges. Maybe negotiated on the sentence before his plea?
