I happen to know many cops, and I can tell you that many of them look forward to a situation like this. They crave it,they like the action. This was probably the highlight of this cops career as of this point.
The lesson is don’t get caught skateboarding.

Looks like the police is just as bad in Denmark. .I have been away from there a long time, and the video does look shocking.

However, I did not claim that the police in Denmark is perfect. I claimed that the population does not applaud it as the population does in Canada.
You being away from Denmark for a long time, maybe the population does applaud it now.

Anyway, if it appears the vast population of Canada applaud it, it is because we are fed up with these punks. I think the vast majority of us do respect the police and don't unnecessarily provoke them.

The vast majority of Canadians have very different opinions than you do.

I’d say that cop went overboard and has some explaining to do...he’ll get out of it by lying his ass off.
Hard to lie when it's caught on camera. The two headshots with the taser are what will get him pinched.

You must know some meat headed cops...the ones I know wouldn’t have bothered with the guy...they wouldn’t have given him a ticket for riding his skateboard through a red light but maybe a warning, they wouldn’t have chased him down after he mouthed off to him, they wouldn’t have wrestled and restrained him to the ground, they wouldn’t have threatened him with the taser, they wouldn’t have hit him in the head with the but end of the taser, they wouldn’t have drove the kids head into the ground.

The cops I know wouldn’t have put so much work into such a petty issue...

The kid speaks...

In an interview with BarrieToday on Thursday, Kelly Platt, who recorded one of the videos, said the incident initially started down the street when Kent went through a red light at Five Points on his skateboard.

Platt’s husband, who was working downtown, told her the young man received a ticket and began skateboarding again eastbound on Dunlop Street.

“That's where the cop car chased him down and swerved in front of him,” she said. “I heard him asking the officer why he was still bothering him after he already gave him a ticket.”
I would like to see what the terb hard asses have to say about this.

I sincerely hope that the people on Terb is not representative of the canadian population, because the majority of Terbists applaud any brutality and intimidation by law enforcement.

Ironic, actually, as anyone that procures sex for money is breaking the law.

Two cops couldn't descalate and control a 20 year old. Wonder what they'll do when they confront a real convict.

The kids a sickening manipulative media whore, first creating the situation he is in ( that we conveniently don't get to see ) and then screaming his script out to the public right on cue, playing off a hypersensitized public audience all of which are set to hair-trigger as we all are considering everything going on including COVID isolation. The woman doing the sideline narration as she films is chanting her success as she records like there is some heinous crime being committed when there simply is not. The woman screaming has never seen a bar fight let alone police wrangling with someone setting them up for a media beating which by the looks of this board has been successful. This video like most videos trying to generate controversy is cleverly presented to make the appearance of it being something other than what it is. The viewing minion line up in droves for the narrative they're being fed then jump on the bandwagon and start beating the guilty cop drum,,, case closed?

I'd like to see video of what happened right from the very beginning here.
That's the key. What happened from the time the cop stopped the guy to the time it got physical? I'm willing to bet that the boarder was the one that escalated the situation some way. Was it simply verbal (of which there can be various levels of verbal abuse) or did he initiate something physical? We don't know.

Until that time we can all speculate but nobody is qualified to pass judgement.

That's the question. If the guy was fighting the cop before being put down I don't see much of an issue besides popping him in the head with the taser. That said, would be damn hard to comply with what the cop was telling him with 200 pounds sitting on top.
It was the taser pop and then what looked like a punch when both officers were on him.

That is the point of unprofessionalism and where the “brutality” part comes into play.

I think that cop could have handled it differently...
Years ago I was taking a very critically ill family member with cancer to an appointment at a hospital in downtown Toronto, I got to a major intersection somewhere near University Ave, unbelievably my rad hose let go releasing a huge plume of steam and I had to pull over. I was so stressed I was going to get my family member to this appointment late and their condition was so serious I could hardly breathe, I just wanted to cry.

Just then an Asian gentleman ran up to my car with his cell phone out filming me and the steam and laughing hysterically. That moment is the closest I have ever come to killing another human being.

I just don't know how cops can take it day in and day out, I don't know how anyone could, they are demonized by the public, the media, the SIU, there is no reprieve and no differentiation between good and bad cops anymore, they are simply all bad resultant of social media saturation.

The invisible victims of all this cop-hating media saturation are not this kid or George Floyd, we all know who they are, it's the NAMELESS FACELESS GOOD COPS who are moms dads husbands wives being thrown out with the dishwater.

WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?
