Yes, it has become massively political, which is part of what is fucking up the response so badly.
Do you not think the better and cheaper response would've been to have temporary medical facilities just for housing covid patients and hire more nurses and doctors to treat them with better PPE. Isn't that what they did in New York back in April.

A coordinated test, trace, and isolate approach would have been vastly better. I suspect it still might. It is clear that there is no political will for it, though.
Fuck, why they haven't pushed for cheap rapid testing with limited accuracy boggles the mind. (Not really, politics insisted on "are we sure the PCR test is giving us proper positives" because people wanted to question the numbers.)
As long as it was pretty solid at avoiding false negatives it could be shit for false positives and it would still be incredibly helpful and people could self-manage. Much more effective at the population level.

The curfew will come if dumbasses keep breaking the guidelines.

If you are one of them, please do not cry when you have to be sitting at home by 8pm
How do you know there's more dumbasses breaking the guidelines in the 2nd wave we're having as opposed to the 1st wave back in March??
Have you ever considered the fact Covid-19 is a lot like the regular flu as in its seasonal and worse in the winter??
Hence the name "flu season".

And if thats the case there's very little we can do to stop all this.
At some point we all still have to go out and get groceries, and thats probably the main way its transmitted (inside grocery stores).
I also think essential work places and TTC is another major mode of transmission, but you cant shut those down either

I cannot understand how being on the street at 10am is healthiest then at 10pm? The first thing than needs to be done is to close all schools and make all stores (including groceries) works as curbside pick-up only. If it is a way to prevent partying (who the hell is going to party outside at night ion the winter???), then it is even worse since it will move parties inside and 5am is just the right time to go home after the party. It is the most idiotic measure one can thing about.

Then what? You'll have kids running around in groups during the day and line ups of people waiting outside for groceries like they do in communist countries. Do you not think a virus can spread that way too.

Lets put everybody up in those luxurious, spacious single person retreats for a couple of "weeks", just to flatten the curve a little. ;)

So is there proof that the gatherings are the cause of the spread. Are the PCR tests accurate. Most of the deaths are in the LTC homes Do you not see how political this thing had become. Have you ever in our history seen a shutdown because of a virus.
Another amigo or another handle! Sheesh, thank God for VPNs eh.

Either way, cry, bitch and moan, Dougy is not listening to misinformed want to be policymakers from Terb. LMAO

Just take a look at the traffic. Everything is closed yet the roads are full. People are mingling and not wearing masks. Grocery stores on the other hand enforce masks. I witnessed it myself on Friday a dumbass was asked to leave and I gave her the bye bye wave. It felt great.

It makes as much sense as most of the pro-lockdown mandates made to date that you've supported....
If you bothered reading, I've been saying since late November that a three week hard lockdown would have dropped our cases back to the lag phase and then we could go on with our lives.

I was warned? What dogmatic bullshit.

Probably something more scientific then your claims that masks don't work.\
Simple comparisons would be to compare traffic now to March. They've done the same with cell phone usage.

So because I don't believe in lockowns I'm a misinformed want to be policy maker. Good one.
You made a mistake of questioning the official idiocy. You are dangerous because you dared to think.

Another reason numbers are skyrocketing. People do not listen so bring in the lockdowns with heavy penalties for violators.

People don't listen to who. The experts and politicians who are traveling abroad while the rest of us have to hibernate or pay a fine. Can't do this. Can't go here. There's a new variant of the virus in 3 different countries now. The numbers are going up and it has nothing to do with the cold weather season. Blah Blah Blah. I just say what they write down.

Can anyone explain to me why you need to be out/what's there to do between 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM right now? Legitimate exceptions aside?

The problem is everyone will start doing their grocery shopping (and other essential shopping) between 5am and 8pm which could start causing huge lineups everywhere. You could actually make things worse because people will be packed like sardines outside of every store
