What's to rebuild? They improved in the house, added votes overall, and now Trump is gone. They are now in a position to fundraise like crazy for the mid terms. While taking zero responsibility when nothing gets done to their constituents. And while I haven't looked it may well be some vulnerable Dem Senate seats come up this time.

A year in the wilderness and the press will need them viable for ratings. Articles will start about Moderate leaders to watch. Biden will talk nice. And suddenly the Senate or House flips again.

And the grift continues.

I'd say Tim Scott, but he is black and not all the Republican voters would be behind that but it would be a definite switch from the Trump era.

Larry Hogan, NJ governor, might be another good choice.

Is he related to the governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan?

His act has made him a pariah along with the Lincoln Project grifters. He won't get another kick at tge can.

It will be someone nobody expected. Without baggage. Or little of it anyway. The next primary will be a crucible.

The Republicans need to make a sharp turn, if they want to get in power again.

Neither Ted Cruz nor Hawley are going to be president. (maybe emperor, but not elected president)

Yes, I'm sure it'll be another successful business person who will work tirelessly for universal healthcare, like Trump.

Sex Machine Ted Cruz will run again, joined by Devin Nunes and Stephen Miller in 2024.

The next POTUS?

I do not follow this as closely as most of you guys and I am Canadian so it does not effect me but I thought Nikki Haley might be a good choice. Would like to get your opinions on her.

There has to be a spot for Nikki Haley either as president or vice-president. She can go toe to toe against Kamala Harris. Nikki is a former two term governor of South Carolina (a former confederate state). Also, she escaped the Trump cult when the getting out was good and didn't go down with the S.S. Trump ship.

She managed to stay away from Trump enough not to be toxic to the GOP.
But does that mean she's toxic to the base?

Yes, but proceed carefully. These guys did collect 70mm votes. I think Trump et al got that many votes because of liberal overreach.
exactly

For ever action, there is a reaction
The septs to the left by the democrat's resulted in Trump being able to gain control of the republicans

That rubs both ways & I am afraid the ultimate reaction of the left because of Trump will be more steps to the left towards crazyvillie

Who said I'm joking? Have you read The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein. Nikki Haley is a spineless lightweight, she no Chrystia Freeland.
Maybe that is a good thing as Chrystia Freeland is an ideolog who can not give a straight answer to a direct question

People in crazyville believe things like pressure is what controls the planets temperature, not solar energy.

It will be up to the primary voters. And don't count out anyone, especially if the Dems rig the primary for Harris.
