Roll over Beethoven. I wonder what he would have thought of her and her dress?

Ludwig Van was lots of things but not a prude. He would have been smitten. Very difficult piece, this is good but Glenn Gould is better.
She would have caused a bit of a sensation in Beethoven's Vienna. I am not even sure they would let her play in the Musikverein today in those dresses.

I think she is way prettier than Glen Gould, but A chacun son gout.

China is challenging Russia's piano tradition, they have a long way to go.

Sweet Alexandra Kuznetsova is a graduate of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Moscow. If she went strictly classical she would be a formidable challenger to Yuja Wang.

Ain't she sweet!

I am from Denmark where blond girls are a dime a dozen. Yuja is sweet.

Russians are like Italians, very different from north to south. Nordic Russians retained the Viking link, the Kievan Rus were conquered by The Mongols, they are more Oriental.

Wetseeker, Khatia Buniatshvili mammalian protuberances (Zappa 4ever) notwithstanding, her Beethoven 4th Piano Concerto is very good.

Glenn Gould may not be eye catching in a Speedo but he is revered today, and not buy just classical musicians. Eddie Van Halen studied Gould before he switched instruments, that's what made him a master musician.

This is perhaps the most difficult eleven minutes of music. Most pianist struggle with it and come off sounding austere. Gould makes it sound like Gustav Klimt for the ears.

Saw Yuja a few years ago with TSO. She played Rachmaninoff 3 that night. Very similar outfit. Yep sexy but honestly you forgot about it when you watch her play.

Virtuoso.

Yuja Wang's performance IMO could be the one and only one that
rivals the legendary hair-raising interpretation of Rachmaninoff 3rd
by Vladimir Horowitz. Legend has it that Rachmaninoff himself
vowed never to play the 3rd again having listened to the young
Horowtiz's rendition of his work.

I'm sleep deprived can't give my full attention to the entire concerto. The opening cadenza gives a very good indication on how the rest of the concerto is played out, I give Yuja Wang a B.

As for Vladimir Horowitz, there's a reason why he didn't play much chamber music.

The other Rachmaninov 3rd that equals Horowitz. I'm surprised I found this, there's a bigger audience for classical than I thought.

Yuja Wang is a sexual being, Wagner was a sexual composer. Will she attempt Gould's Wagner transcriptions? The entire works runs to almost an hour.
