Carbon tax rebate of 40 cents/liter over 10 years is atrocious. It won'tGood old free market capitalism has the price of gas fluctuating by 60 cent/litre in any given year. Carbon tax rebate - 40 cents/litre (over 10 years) has LaRue up at night ....LOL
I think you have a great idea and suggest you just start mailing in those extra taxes to the Trudeau liberals right now.Carbon tax rebate of 40 cents/liter over 10 years is atrocious. It won't
possibly reduce emission to anywhere close to 50% in 2030. To meet the emission
target needed to stop global warming immediately we must scrap the rebate and hike
the tax by more than 40 cents / liter in one year. I am sure Greta Thunberg would
favor what I propose.
Taxes do not fluctuate up and down geniusGood old free market capitalism has the price of gas fluctuating by 60 cent/litre in any given year. Carbon tax rebate minus the 40 cents/litre carbon tax (over 10 years) has LaRue up at night ....LOL
You ca not put money into silos like thatMy understanding is that for the next couple of years the
carbon tax is to be fully refunded in rebates. Gradually it will
surge to a level where the tax revenue is bigger than the rebate.
So I don't think the tax is technically the source of the money
to be shipped. I suppose we can easily finance foreign aid
by raising more debt.
Yup, oil goes up and wind/solar goes down.Taxes do not fluctuate up and down genius
This one is going nowhere but up unless voters wake up
And it is going to be inflationary
If you had a clue about economics you would know this is going to be an economic disaster
and it wont make a bit of difference to emissions
Natural gas will follow in 5-10 years.Coal as a fuel for power generation is being phased
out by natural gas worldwide. This trend has been ongoing
for sometime and will continue for years to come. This has
more to do with environmental protection than economy. That
coal is a horribly dirty fuel was well known 2 centuries ago.
