Aww hehe It was just for today pretty sure. Get Smart is back on for tomorrow at 4:30 right after The Flying Nun. I have the first two seasons on iTunes and I’ll probably get the rest as well unless they play them all out on CHCH.

Fun fact about Hogan's Heroes (well, maybe not fun but it's a fact.) Werner Klemperer played Colonel Klink. His background was Jewish and his family left Germany for the USA soon after Hitler came to power, but some of his family did die in the Holocaust. Apparently Klink wasn't originally supposed to be such an inept bungler as the series ended up depicting him - that was supposed to be reserved for Schultz - but when Klemperer (who'd had a pretty busy career in TV and movies in secondary roles and was much better known than Bob Crane, who played Hogan) was offered the part he agreed to take it only on the condition that Klink had to be a complete bungler. He refused to take the part if Klink was in any way depicted as a serious Nazi and only on the condition that Klink would never be able to get the better of Hogan. He wanted the Germans depicted only as fools. He got his way.
There was more Jewish blood than that...Schultz, Burkhalter and Hochstader were Jewish.

It's the first episodes of The Flying Nun, like an introduction...Get Smart is back on tomorrow...your trip to the Cannabis store will be worth it.
Oh good!, I'm waiting for the episodes with Bernie Kopell as "Sigfried"

I am a sucker for nostalgia. Guilty pleasure of mine. I have been enjoying some of the "Green Acres" re-runs on CHCH.

I remember when chch was famous for showing live hockey games of the Hamilton Junior Red Wings was a farm team of the Detroit Rd Wings playing against teams including the Toronto Marlies that was the Toronto Maple Leafs farm team. Also in that league were the Montreal Jr. Canadians and other teams connected with NHL teams. Best hockey ever.

Actually Klemperer Banner Clary were all Jewish. Robert Clary is a Camp survivour.

And there was always this big pillar almost in the middle of the screen when they used the corner camera.

I thought it quite bizarre when Werner Klemperer appeared on an episode of Batman, in the Colonel Klink character!
