Toronto in another lockdown. Are agencies in Toronto closing?

So, even if you will never be a mask proponent, you cannot validly say as a blanket statement that "masks do not work" or "masks are useless" as there are no studies that prove that
There actually are studies that prove it. I'll post them later today when I have time

What evidence do you have I was stomping while making that post??
You are attaching emotions to my posts that arent there.

I repeat, I can have my opinion on matters and I dont need a seal of approval from you

I'd be interested in seeing a study that says that masks provide zero protection. As far as I can tell, it would have to be similar to the one I outlined, that is, two groups of people exposed to the same environment for the same length of time, one with no mask wearers and the other with all mask wearers. Up 'til now you have only referenced the number of cases in Ontario as your proof.

This is a stupid comment, even by your standards. We're still entitled to have opinions, arent we??
Silly unless you are a card carrying Antifa or BLM supporter you are NOT allowed to have any differing opinion

The sad thing is when facts and media start agreeing with you
Then their panties get all twisted and they scream facist racist and other slogans at you

Masks work. Yet of all people who become infected, 80% are mask wearers, and 50% of deaths are inside long term care facilities.

Masks work, so does staying young, outside long term care facilities and being generally healthy without underlying conditions.

Yet .........
Sorry this is dead wrong
90% are long term care

Updated to Nov 29

As well if you are under 60 you only have a 7% chance of even getting sick (and vast majority of those are in 50s)

For the rest of the world this is a flu
You get sick and 10 days later you are better
Yes there is always a random aberation but they are such a minscule percent to be negligible

What amazes me about this entire pandemic is the ass-backwards approach to it
Instead of doing something positive govt concentrates on negative

Instead of ID-ing and isolating the carriers, we impose broad far reaching (and useless) lockdowns
Close stores in Peel they drive to York
Close stores in York they drive to Simcoe
Whats the point?

Instead of attempting to FIX the old age system after Long Term Care was shown to kill 90% of people in first wave?
Not a dam thing done for wages, infrastructure, medical, nada
Now second wave is (again) decimating the old

Instead of being first in line for Vaccines Trudeau ends up behind people such as Trump (gee I wonder if Trump will hog / hoard vaccine or share with Trudeau)

Idiots are in charge of a sinking ship

In the much larger populated USA 100K+ out of 268K deaths are attributed to nursing homes & other LTC:

100/268 is under 38%.

Getting sick can be quite serious:

"I was infected with coronavirus in March, six months on I’m still unwell

Charlie Russell, 27, is one of an estimated 600,000 people with post-Covid illness, a condition that may give an insight into ME

https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...m-still-unwell

"What Young, Healthy People Have to Fear From COVID-19

The White House’s new science adviser says: nothing. The science disagrees.

...Herd immunity is an inoperable plan, teetering on a false assumption of elderly-cocooning, which encourages young people to play craps with the long-term health of their internal organs. The choice is yours. You can listen to the scientists. Or you can roll the dice with your guts."

"The catch is we don’t live in a young-only scenario. In the real world, asymptomatic spreaders also give the virus to the vulnerable and older people. That’s what happened in Sweden, where COVID-19 took a heavy toll on the older population. Something similar is now happening elsewhere. In the U.S., the virus is spreading fastest among young adults, but those outbreaks eventually reach the older population."

"infections among adults aged 20–39 years preceded increases among those aged ≥60 years by 4–15 days.

Thankfully the online keyboard warrior amateur after-the-fact commentating covidiots, conspiracy nut jobs, hoax advocates, C-19 existence deniers & "it's just a flu, what's all the fuss about" folks weren't in charge. Then all hell would have broken loose (think Armageddon like) & it wouldn't be just a couple million dead, but more like 20,000,000, to say nothing of those suffering from "long covid" & the longterm economic impact of that.
