There is no conspiracy or hidden agenda like you claim, this nonsense has been right wing nutbar talking points from the beginning.
All of your points are anecdotal evidence or opinions and there is scientific data behind them. Thankfully you do not live in Ontario so we have one less of the likes of you to deal with. :ROFLMAO:
The only thing I got to say to you is... You lost total credibility since you say MPs do not spread covid because there is A) No alcohol B) No reported cases. And MPs are not respecting any of the guidelines : No masks, no gloves, and no two meters. They are super spreaders for covid as such should have been shut down at the same time as the bars were. Lots of so called covidiots going there. I am sure you are a regular of MPs also. You are in total denial yet here you are posting as if you are morally superior. Spare me your usual nonsense. Oh yess I got a meme for you. You are a Complicity Theorist.

One way to shut him down is to put those big cement blocks in front of every one of the doors. Then shut off the gas, electricity and water..

People are talking about him like he brought death and pestilence to Ontario, in 2 days. It was already here.

Oh Cloud0 as for your meme.
This is not a political narrative, my posts are based on scientific data yet yours are based on your political leanings and which business model you prefer to use and wish to stay open #whataboutme

Second you still haven't understood the difference between the threat a strip club represents VS an MP's
My posts have always been about MP's in comparisons to strip clubs which you have very little understanding of the differences, because instead of relying on the data you are basing your opinion on which one is your preference model to use as a client.

There are large differences between an MP and a strip club which you lack understanding of, not only the alcohol factor but also there is far more of a threat in a strip club than there is at an MP as they (strip clubs) are in contact with more people (work related) on a daily basis than any MP will ever be during a day at work, and C it's alot more easier to clean an MPA room after clients than it is to clean a whole strip club after each patron, don't worry eventually you'll understand these differences.

The amount of people in his restaurant are far fewer than the rabid hoards in Costco, buying their 'essential' Christmas presents.
He is supposed to be closed. Regardless of costco, he is flouting the rules of his industry.

Are customers at Costco permitted to remove their mask at any time?

Is a customer at a restaurant permitted to remove their mask at any time?

I know TJ would be too chickenshit to answer questions like this. How about you?

Naw it was in the old age homes

Still (to this date) less than 200 deaths are even attributed to Covid

If you are healthy its a non issue

lol what?

I have laughed most of you guys out of the building so what nonsense are you going on about now?

I shop at Costco
I do not wear a mask as I am medically exempt
99% of the world deals with it (yes there is always one insane person sooner or later who tells me nonsense like "I will die" but so what)
(Fuck I even bought pizza + fries & fed my kids in the Costco, if they wore masks how would they eat genius? Its annoying they removed tables so need to stand and eat though)

A customer at a restaurant does not wear a mask (and I have posted multiple times in the anti-tipping threads since I think anyone who does is a fool)

Restaurants/bars are not a necessity, and the less people are out socializing which is non essential the less the Coronavirus rate of transmission.
The virus certainly does not have a 99.8% survival rate now.

There is no research to prove the restaurants are the main cause of the spread. there is no research to prove the big box stores are NOT the cause of the spread. When an employee tests positive at a supermarket, they don't shut it down for 14 days. they shut it down for a day (cleaning), then do contact tracing on whoever worked with the positive person that day and they quarantine them all...business as usual beyond that...meanwhile a small business is out of business just for preventive measures...I'm not even supporting small business...but at least come up with something that doesn't look half assed. stop the lockdown nonsense because the few businesses that are open, that's where people will congregate...you can limit people inside but not outside...

I don't agree with or support everything he's doing and I don't like his association with the HugsOverMasks group. I do support the anti-lockdown groups, however.

He gained my support with his initial message: that it's unfair for multinational, big box companies to remain open while shutting down all the small businesses. I applaud Mayor Crombie in trying to address this issue.

Masks are not 100% effective at preventing the spread of covid at Costco when many are still not wearing them properly, exposing their noses, wearing poorly fitting ones and are constantly violating the 2 m distancing rule because way too many people are being allowed in the store.

1)In general people need to wear masks at ALL times in Costco. Any food purchased must be eaten outside, so you broke the rules.
2)In restaurants, obviously somebody has to remove their mask to eat.

THAT, is why Costco is open and restaurants are closed. They should have turfed you and your kids out on your collective asses.

You are the definition of a COVIDIOT. Find me another definition than this in a dictionary. I've asked several times.

Macmillian Dictionary defines “covidiot” as “an insulting term for someone who ignores health advice about COVID-19." Urban Dictionary takes a pretty similar approach, defining “covidiot” as “someone who ignores the warnings regarding public health or safety.”
Basically, a covidiot doesn’t take COVID-19 and the risks of the virus seriously,"

I love this part of a report about the fiasco at Adamson BBQ yesterday:

"Crowds outside the establishment were told to leave Wednesday afternoon, though many also left as it began raining."

That's real commitment! "We're standing up for our rights and liberties! We're standing against the corrupt system! We're not going to let them do this to us! We're not going to take this anymore! Unless it rains. I didn't think to bring my umbrella. I might get wet."

Restaurants in Nova Scotia asked the provincial government to close them and allow only take out because in the midst of the pandemic people were simply choosing to forego dine-in restaurants altogether. I know someone who owns a restaurant in Whitby. He's told me having dine-in is pointless even though it's allowed in Durham (with strict capacity limits) for now. The vast majority of his customers only want take out and dine-in is actually more of a nuisance to him at this point. This guy Skelly has managed to make a splash for himself and get himself in the news and get himself a loyal following among the anti-mask/conspiracy crowd. Now I hope he's willing to pay the price without whining. Civil disobedience is fine as long as you don't complain when it comes time to pay up. (For what it's worth I believe big box stores like Walmart and Costco should be allowed to only sell grocery and pharmacy goods. That is grossly unfair to small business owners who have to shut down altogether and it wouldn't be that hard to rope off parts of those stores selling non-essentials.)

In any event, debating the anti-mask/conspiracy crowd is pointless. They're the mindless sheep they accuse others of being. It's classic projection. They're the ones who decide that being responsible is living in fear, while they seem to live in absolute conspiracy-based paranoia. They don't analyze or engage in rational thought. They cite selective statistics - usually focusing on the supposed 99.8% survival rate as if that's the only thing that matters while ignoring factors such as those who don't die but who get very sick and end up in ERs and ICUs to the point at which people who have heart attacks or strokes don't have ICU beds or ER beds available in a local hospital - and it doesn't take many for that to happen since Ontario ICUs tend to operate pretty close to capacity even in normal times. They generally engage in confirmation bias - they look for the handful of people who they agree with (whether it's a demonstrably incompetent US president or the publicity seeking owner of a BBQ restaurant) or the rogue report that supports them and that manage to get in the public eye (like the Danish study on masks that actually DOESN'T show that masks are useless in spite of what is claimed, and whose authors have complained that their study is being taken out of context) and then they latch on to them while ignoring the vast, vast majority of health experts and scientific studies that disagree with them.

Someone's going to have to do a really good job of explaining to me why everyone from Bill Gates to government officials to public health experts to hospital staff to small town family physicians to pharmacists have decided to bond together in this mammoth, world-wide conspiracy to create a pretend pandemic to ... to ... well, I've never actually been sure what it is that all these folks are conspiring to do to us, but whatever it is there surely must have been an easier way.

What an excellent post. Well thought out, concise and not full of garbage. Well done my friend! 👏

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

Adam Skelly doesn't speak for other businesses. That's why he has no other supporters, other than the lunatic anti-masker/anti-vaxxer crowd. He's doubled down and now has a slew of charges against him. I bet he feels like he's accomplished something now that he was carried away in handcuffs.

He speaks for many of them but they are not in a position to go to jail and pay fines.
First of all, he's wasn't actually being forced to shut down. He's still allowed to serve food for delivery and takeout, which is most of his business is in the first place. What he was fighting for was to open up indoor dining, but what her organized was the anti-maskers/anti-vaxxer crowd. And screw anything to do with social distancing. Which is not what the majority of businesses are on side with. I know lots of people in the restaurant business and owners of other small shops who've been forced to closed. And they think he's an idiot for the way he's handled things.
