She should just resign her position. She will grow old and grey fighting the windmills that are American politics. Why would she want to be an old fool like Bernie Sanders without any chance of influence.

What she is advocating, for the people, will never happen in America.

The irony is, that the democrats would have won by a landslide if they had run on a progressive platform. 80% of Americans want Universal Health care.

Yes it's too bad the Democrats aren't as united as the Republican Party.
It's the curse of having a broad coalition.
The only reason the GOP can be as unified as they are is that the US system has a bunch of ways where you can be a minority faction and still wield power and currently the GOP is benefitting from them.

I'd love to see a massive overhauls of the system to allow for more parties but at that point I would want to scrap the Presidential system altogether if I could re-do everything.

I was actually kidding..I think the Republican party is pretty fractured...it's all about the way you feel about Trump.

GOP is far more cohesive overall in its ideology.
Being a party of identity politics for one group, with a nice plutocratic dollop on top is a much easier coalition.
There are still factions and conflicts, but cohesion is easier to maintain.
